Trains and bikes, Nuclear plants and solar panels.

Today marks the day the people of the great nation of Empty Void have been calling for, for today we have officially prohibited automobiles! Nearly all 3.2 billion of our citizenry already use the NREV (Nation Rail of Empty Void) each week before using bikes for the final mile of transport. With this act of legislation we finalize the two of the most important goals our nations people have demanded for over a decade, free and fast public transport, and the complete elimination of fossil fuel emissions within our borders.

For over a decade now the government of Empty Void has worked tirelessly to expand the NREV outward from Lone City to encompass even the farthest reaches of our rural country side. Alongside our rail initiative we instated the GET-EV (Green Energy Tomorrow Empty Void) project which sought to eliminate our usage of fossil fuels. As we've laid down rail and repurposed roads as pedestrian centric infrastructure we've simultaneously built nuclear powerplants and installed solar panels, building out what was necessary to reach out goals.

Despite the banning of automobiles the methods of transport are still varied in Empty Void. Electric bikes and scooters are available to those who commute longer distances, peddle powered bikes make up the majority of last mile transport, and we encourage smaller personal transport such as skateboards and rollerblades. Larger specialized Electric rickshaws are available by permit for businesses that require the moving of large or heavy objects.

Today is a monumental date in the history of Empty Void and will hereby be a national holiday refered to as Fresh Air Friday!
