A YouTube video by Lithostrotum titled 'The Drought; days 2-6' Published on June 17th, 2021.
The video begins at the start of day 3 of the drought, where we are dropped at the epicenter of the action as the very first frame is Cohler and Reed both fighting a shark -- well, I should say Reed, as Cohler is cowering under the back seat of the boat. You can hear her breathing as Reed tries to take on the shark. Considering there is only one shark means this day is made a little bit easier compared to the last. Reed attempts to balance on the shark, however, he is no Jake, you see, so...]
Reed: "AGH...HEY...AYYYY...WHUH...WHERE THE HELL IS MY PIC--AHHH! COHLER! COH--"
Cohler: "...AAAAA-"
The chapter starts in similiar manner to the last; Orion and Jake both attempt to take on a shark together, and by 'together', I mean Orion trying to pick up whatever Jake is telling him to do as the stomach pain mentioned previously has gotten worse. It takes some time -- around 15 minutes -- but eventually, the deed is done. Orion climbs back on the boat, which surprisingly hasnt taken much damage, and sits next to Jake.]
Orion: "Oh My God...Oh My God...Oh My God..."
Jake: "Shut up, let's focus on more important things."
Orion: "Bro you are not some mafia boss."
Jake: "I lost an oar during the fight."
Orion: "Who cares, I'll get some more food."
Jake: "No, don't, there's no rain and no freshwater."
Orion: "So?"
Jake: "So we can't eat bozo! We'll just be more dehydrated. Just row the boa-- actually know I'll do it, you do stuff with the camera I don't really know, sometimes it stops recording and I don't touch anything."
Orion: "Oh, does the same happen when it starts recording?"
Jake: "Yea, I guess this is some magic camera."
Jake: ".....aghhhhh what the [snip]"
Orion, just barely waking up: "What-uh?"
Jake: "My stomach man holy [snip]
Orion: "It's just hunger, you woke me up in the middle of the night you donkey."
Jake: "No man, it's reached the right side of my stomach man, aghhhh!"
Orion: "When are we going to find some rain man, and I haven't seen any fish aswell recently."
Jake: "It hurts when I breathe."
Orion: "At this point I expect anything to happen. Just try and row, we just need to get to some land, or at the least food."
Jake: "Why have you become so cold, Orion?"
Orion: "Cold? What the hell are you talking about?"
Jake: "Since yesterday you've gotten, I don't know, ruder?"
Orion: "...Yea...I'm trying to find some food and freshwater on a broken boat with a lost oar and someone who isn't bothered trying to help me, AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE [snipping] OCEAN. COME ON JAKE. ROW."
Jake: "I can't move, it makes me dizzy and my stomach feels like a rock."
Orion: "Just shut up and help me r-"
Jake: "Look at me, Orion. How do I look...am I handsome?"
Orion: "You look pretty good for me from the condition you are in."
Orion: "You okay man?"
Orion: 'Ey?'
Orion: "This one time, right, I was playing chess with Michael--"
Jake: "What's your *cough* your ELO?"
Orion: "Uhhhh...I forgot to be honest. It's been a while. Anyways, I was in a completely losing in this position, my only hope was two pawns in the corner of the board--"
Jake: "Did you win or lose?"
Orion: "Let me get to that man! Haha!" Anyways, he moved his rook to attack my knight and you know what I did? I sacrificed it! I pushed my pawn, if he took, I push it again to attack his rook and then promote!"
Jake: "Cool. Then what happened?"
Orion: "Well I promoted the Queen!"
Jake: "And you won?"
Orion: "I...uh...fell for backrank mate a few moves later."
Jake: "I would laugh at your stupid ass but it hurts to breathe so I'm not going to try."
Orion: "Heh, It was pretty funny."
Jake: "...What was Michael like Orion?"
Orion: "Oh, you met Michael many times, Jake."
Jake: "I know. What did y-- *cough* you think of him."
Orion: "Heh, stupid question, you know the answer."
Jake: "What was it like to have him around the house?"
Orion: "...It was fun, I guess. I mean, sure, yea, I took him for granted, but he's my brother Jake, why wouldn't I love him."
Jake: "What was it like to lose him, Orion?"
Orion: "...When I first found out about the accident, through my mother, I didn't really...I couldn't grasp the situation thoroughly. I felt as if a celebrity died that I wasn't you know like, obsessed over. I was shocked, but...I didn't really, like at that moment feel 'sad'. I felt more worried about my dad."
Jake: "Really?"
Orion: "Yes."
Jake: "When did you 'grasp' the situation, you'd say?"
Orion: "I think...yeah...yea I remember yea uh everything just came crashing down when I came to the morgue. I went to the morgue with my mom, grandfather, grandmother and Aunt Cass to identify the body. I thought, for some reason, my brother would look calm, peaceful, almost sleeping. But I looked at him and he was bruised and barely recognisable. I held onto his face and stared at it for a few seconds, and then I started crying softly. That, that look haunted me for so long. I lived with my brother for 11 years of my life and when I think of him that look is the first thing I see. I don't want to remember my brother like that."
Jake: "How often do you think of him, Orion."
Orion: "*sigh*...sometimes, I have nightmares about him. Sometimes I watch the accident happen, and then...Michael walks out, with his bruised face. And he would stare at me. I would run over to him and he would then drop dead, and I couldn't do anything. But I don't like waking up from those dreams, I want to see them again and again every time I sleep."
Jake: "Why would you want that?"
Orion: "Because it means I can see Michael again. No matter if he's bleeding out, with bruises or cuts all over him I can still see him, that's what matters. And sometimes I think he wants to see me too. He stares at me no matter how long, until I run over to him and almost reach him. It's not something I can control, or something he can control, but I just hope one time, one day, I dream of him again, and that time he doesn't collapse. I don't need some embracement or anything, I just need to feel him alive, even if he isn't in that moment."
Jake: "Orion, don't row."
Orion: "WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY?"
Jake: "I said don't row."
Orion: "WHAT?"
Jake: "Don't row."
Orion: "Why not?"
Jake: "We might lose one of our oars, maybe one of us will be sucked into the sea. Just collect the water. Collect the water and maybe when the storm is over, you can eat."
Orion: "...Wouldn't eating hurt you?"
Jake: "I think. But I'm going to die of hunger before I die of this or whatever."
Orion: "...O-Okay. Okay. We'll do that."
Jake: "I don't understand, I felt like crap, I couldn't move I, I couldn't do anything, how am I perfectly fine now?"
Orion: "I swear it's just dehydration man, trust me I'm also starting to feel faint when I stand."
Jake: "You are just as dehydrated as I am, and you're...better than I am!"
Orion: "Not anymore. Shut up and let me sleep."
Jake: "You're so [snip] rude man."
Orion: "I assure you it's not that bad, here, let me just...uh..."
Jake: "......aaaaAAAAOOWWWWWWWWW! AOWWWW! WHAT THE [snip] IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
Orion: "Well shouting isnt going to help you."
Jake: "SHUT UP. JUST SHUT UUUUUUUUUP!"
Orion: "Jake?"
Orion: "...I'm such a [snipping] idiot...God...I'm such a [snipping]...I'm so sorry, Jake...I could have done more...we could have done so much more together...I...I could have...I told you to stop being lazy and being overdramatic and...the truth, it was just right infront of me...look at how pale you are, Jake...a-and wet...I've been so cold to you...I've been hammering about how I'm doing everything alone but...but I can't do everything alone, Jake...there's, there's nobody else, it's just me I should have done something...I...I can't let you suffer like this...you've been through so much...you're so strong...but I can't let you go through this...you're already somewhere else..."
Orion: "When w-...when I make it out of this place...I'm going to go home...and I'm telling your mom and dad everything...about how brave you were...how strong and mighty you were...how cruel this place was to you...I'll, when I'm old...I'll still remember you...I'll tell stories to my grandchildren about you...I'm...going to miss you Jake."
This chapter starts differently from the previous two, as instead of the immediate action that takes place, the first clip is from a few minutes before the shark appears.]
Noah: "Do you think there might be any rain today?"
Toby: "Look at the clouds."
Noah: "Ah, yeah of course. Where's the pickaxe?"
Toby: "Over here mate, right next to the camera. I started recording earlier just so you know."
Noah: "Perfect! Alright, you stay under the seat, keep the 4 oars and the camera with you."
Toby: "How do you know this stuff? You killed two sharks like nothing yesterday and you are planning to kill another one?"
Noah: "Grylls. He did one video on killing fish and for some reason demonstrated how to kill a shark, never thought it would be so useful actually."
Toby: "That's random as hell to be honest."
Noah: "Yeah. The trick is, you need to to one swing just above the fin of the shark, that area connects the head and the body. Paralyses the shark, can't move, dies at the bottom, mouth would still operate though. There's another way of doing it where you would hit its brains, just above the eyes, but its more dangerous and the pickaxe would immediately get stuck."
Toby: "Oh."
