IntroductionThe League's Defense Forces (LDF) is the official military force of The League and Concord. Originally established in May 2016 as the LCNAF, the LDF resumed consistent operations in February 2021. It became the LDF following the transition program that established The League. The LDF functions as a member of Libcord, an interregional alliance of defenders aiming to counter raider activity on NationStates. Since its resumption of activity, the LDF has been one of the most active Libcord members, with personnel participating in virtually every major operation.

Defending Made EasyLIBERATE -- The League's Defense Forces is renowned for leading the charge during liberations, where defender forces rally to free an innocent region from raiders that are trying to destroy it. In 2025, we participated in historic operations like the 
Liberation of LKL, the largest liberation in site history, as well as the Liberation of FoSS, where the LDF led defender organizations in turnout.
PROTECT -- In periods where raiders aren't actively occupying a region, we will deploy our military in defense of vulnerable regions. One prominent example of this is our deployment to the region of England, which was a constant target of raiders until defender forces deployed to support the region's transition to having a secure government.
RAIDERS DELENDA EST -- We believe that those who live by the sword must also fall to the sword: in other words, we can and we will raid regions that are involved in griefing and ruining the fun for others. Our military spearheaded the largest anti-raider offensive in site history.
Mission Statement and PoliciesOur mission is the protection of sovereign regions and their governments across NationStates. Invaders on NationStates attempt to subvert, vandalize, and even destroy regions for their own purposes, a practice we are opposed to in nearly all cases. Free from complex politics and bureaucracy, the LDF seeks to execute its mission statement as efficiently as possible: protecting innocent regions and punching back at raider organizations.
The LDF will mobilize to defend regions that are not either invader themselves nor out-of-character problematic.
Offensive operations will be conducted against invader and griefer regions. It is the opinion of the LDF that destruction of innocent regions constitutes a forfeiture of a region's own sovereignty, and that such operations are productive to weakening the bases of invading.
Further offensive operations may be conducted against regions that are out-of-character problematic.
Do-not-defend status on a region will be granted by commanding officers, for a do-not-defend to be granted, the raiding coalition must name the target and ideally include initial information for the region to be assessed for this status.
Commanding officers maintain discretion on the above policies, in particular those regarding offensive operations and granting of do-not-defend status. These policies may be expanded upon by command at their discretion.
