Braznychia RP History

Chapter 1: The Island of Ykha
Pavlov takes a puff of his cigar, on his outpost overlooking the Braznych Sea. It was a cloudy and foggy evening, and he could feel the cold breeze blowing from the sea. His grandson, Yuri was there with him. Pavlov was already an old man by this point, at 65 years old. He had won many battles, and saw all of Rosaia - from the nearby nations of Xara and Thea, to the cold tundra of the Antarctic Union, to the mosslands of the east, and the plains of Libriano.

Suddenly, the fog clears and Pavlov dropped his cigar. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was so happy he screamed. Yuri rushes over to his grandfather, wondering what is happening.

Pavlov says, "Do you see that island over there, Yuri?"

Yuri replied, "Yes, Dedushka."

Pavlov replies, "That is Ykha, also known as the Forbidden Island"

"But why is it called the Forbidden Island?", Yuri responds

Pavlov answers, "Let me tell you a story."

Long ago, this land was inhabited by three tribes, the Xankwey, the Altin and the Korvichuk. Around 10,000 years ago - these three tribes faced a genocide from the Kubka Clan who took over their lands. The people of these tribes were desparate to escape when suddenly, a path opened up in mid air, separating the ocean into two. The tribes escaped through this path, arriving on Ykha Island.

Ykha Island is protected by the twin Gods - Xosgyn and Konsyn. They put a spell on the entire island, to make getting on the island almost impossible unless you were the Chosen One. The island is also regularly obscured by a thick fog for the protection of the people living there.

We sent many naval expeditions to the island, all of which bearing no fruit. We were faced with terrible storms and titanic waves when we try to approach the island. But this....this is the first time I've ever seen it clearly.

Yuri asks, "Who is the Chosen One? Who will be the link between them and the rest of Rosaia?"

Pavlov answers, "No one knows for sure, but I can feel that he has already been born."

Pavlov looks back at the island, to see the fog return, once again hiding it from view.

"Oh, Ykha. When will you reveal your beautiful face up close?"

The wind once again blows through the outpost, but this time, he heard a soft female voice speak to him through this wind

"Soon. My prophet has already been born. On the night of the blue moon, he will separate the oceans once more"

CHAPTER 2: Dissapearance
Admiral Korova speaks to his superior about his plans to land on Ykha Island for an expedition. He was a man seeking glory, and he believed that landing on Ykha Island would give him exactly what he was looking for.

He presented his plans to Commander Sokolov, who was immediately appalled by the suggestion.

"You must be kidding me. Ykha? Have you heard about the many dissapearances there?, I WILL NOT SEND THE NAVY TO EXPLORE A TINY ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE"

"But sir, there might be enemy bases on the island".

"LOOK AROUND YOU, does it look like that island could fit a massive army?", Sokolov retorted.

Both men continued to argue for hours, until Sokolov gave in and gave the green light. Korova leaves the room, and that morning, departed for Ykha Island.

"He's a dead man walking", Sokolov uttered underneath his breath.

They sail for days, before approaching the island. Suddenly, a powerful storm blows through the area, sending powerful waves that rock the ship.

Admiral Korova is taken aback by the ferocity of the waves battering his ship. He orders a full retreat from the area. But soon, he lost radio contact with the outside world.

He was never seen again.

CHAPTER 3: Telling of the Lost Tribe
A tribal chief looks upon the mainland from Ykha Island. Just recently, there was a failed attempt by the outside world to reach them. They have never left the island ever since their escape from the genocide, so they think the outside world is still hostile to their existence. He could see the city of Sinyavino from his location. Across the horizon, he could see the glistering lights of civilization situated all across the western part of Rosaia. He looks upon the moon, noticing it beginning to turn red.

The Lunar Festival is about to begin. Tol'tepe, bring me the Sacred Horn.

Tol'tepe bows, and ran back to Master's house to retrieve the Sacred Horn. The Sacred Horn is believed to be a gift from the God Xosgyn, as a sign of being "the chosen people".

Tol'tepe arrives back to Chief, who grabs the Sacred Horn. He blew the horn, a loud sound echoing throughout the island. The people look upon the sky, to see the moon turning a crimson red. It has begun.

The Lunar Festival marks the anniversary of their escape from the genocide wrought by the Kubka Clan, in which they escaped to Ykha Island under the watch of the Blood Moon. The people of Ykha present offerings for the twin Gods - Xosgyn and Konsyn, who saved them from death all those years ago.

The Sacred Horn is placed on the altar, a symbol of Xosgyn's power. But Konsyn's artifact still remains missing to them.

"The Almanac of Souls is likely long gone", the Chief said. But we must continue nonetheless. The Blood Moon reaches it's peak, showering the island in a dark crimson glow.

Year 8,000 of isolation began. All across the island, people celebrate, commemorating their salvation from the Kubka all those eons ago.

As the Blood Moon commences its transformation back to its alabaster visage, Tol'tepe asks Chief on what truly happened to the Almanac of Souls.

"No one knows", Chief replied. "All we know is that millenia ago, the Almanac was lost by our voyagers, and is probably somewhere out there on the mainland. But fear not, this does not affect our covenant with Konsyn."

The moon glows a bright white across the night sky, as the people return to their homes to sleep. The waves crash on the island shore, providing a sense of peace and serenity in the atmosphere.

CHAPTER 4: The Almanac of Souls
The Almanac of Souls are a collection of all the people who have ever lived and died, with a page for each person. It was a magical book, and is indestructible. It was created by Konsyn during the Creation, to keep track of all the people who have ever lived and died. The Almanac is one of the primary symbols of Yangini Rosaian Faith, with the other being the Sacred Horn.

The Almanac of Souls is highly sought after by people, as it can show them what ultimately happened to a person, and if they are still alive or not. It can give people closure, knowing what truly happened to their loved ones. Most people believe the Almanac is under the care of the Chief of Ykha, but this was not the case.

Lucius and Marcus sat in their basement, planning to steal the Almanac of Souls. They served in the Navy under the missing Admiral Korova, and they wanted to know what happened to him. But most importantly, they planned to sell the book for a massive fortune.

However, the search for the Almanac of Souls was like the search for the Holy Grail, tedious. But eventually, after months of searching, they finally figured out that the Almanac was under the care of the Maiden of Honor.

Lucius and Marcus prepare for possibly the biggest heist in their nation's history.

CHAPTER 5: The Maiden of Honor
The Maiden of Honor was the most trusted maid/servant of the Royal Family, and was entrusted by the Royal Family to safeguard the Almanac of Souls. She kept the Almanac in the palace dungeons, hidden away from view. However, Lucius and Marcus knew where the Almanac was hidden, after they received a tip from an insider. One stormy night, they sneak into the Imperial Palace, with the intent of stealing the Almanac. They navigate through the palace hallways, their every step as silent as a feather.

They arrive at the entrance to the dungeons. Lucius and Marcus both take sconces, and descend into the abyss below. The walls were laden with nitre, and both men find it difficult to breathe in the narrow passageway. They finally arrived at the bottom of the stairwell, and began looking around for the Almanac of Souls. They eventually stumble upon a hidden room in the corner of the dungeon. They enter the room, and stumbled across the Maiden of Honor, cleaning the Almanac. She turns around, drawing her sword and lunged at them.

"Neer impure takes what Konsyn bestows!" , she screams.

Lucius and Marcus were caught by surprise, and they draw their swords and deflect her attacks. Lucius strikes her with his sword and she drops to the ground, her blood spilling on the cold brick floor. Marcus retrieves the Almanac of Souls from her, and leaves the dungeons. As they walk down the halls, Marcus exclaims "We did it, we'll be rich!"

Lucius smiles grimly, uttering to himself "It wont be WE for long", unsheathing his dagger.

CHAPTER 6: The Crimson Betrayal
Marcus is abruptly seized by a jarring pain in his back, as Lucius swiftly inflicts a stab upon him. He falls to the ground, enveloped in the sensation of slowly losing consciousness due to blood loss.

"Lucius, how could you. I thought we were friends till the end! You said we would be in this together!"

"Yes Marcus. We WERE. But I simply stopped benefiting from our relationship. I did most of the work for us to secure the Almanac, and here you are taking a huge chunk of the fortune. I deserve to keep this", Lucius said, grabbing the Almanac of Souls from Marcus.

"You f###ing traitor!", Marcus screams, as Lucius flees the scene.

Marcus gathers his thoughts as he laid on the floor. The thought of Lucius's betrayal hurt him, as they had always been friends ever since they first began their life of crime. But now, in seems like Lucius finally showed his true colors.

"Wonder what the Order will think of this", Marcus sighs.

"Sergey, I ask of you to avenge my death", Marcus utters to himself as he passes on from this world. It wouldnt be long till his plead was answered......
