Swan lake: A Crisis In Avalon

That was until earlier last week, when across the nations social media websites and domains supposed “leaked Government files” were shared. The content of these files would undoubtedly be a shock to the small (mostly) peaceful nation. Apparently according to documents, Avalons King “Solomon Antoniou” wasn’t a sire of his dynasty, and was instead a faker whom had pretended to become king as the supposed “last living member” of the Antoniou dynasty, which apparently had died out.
This wasn’t the worse of it though, the King had collaborated with the president and members of his staff in order to funnel money into their own pockets.
Once the so called “Arcati files” were released (and some of there content made know to the wider public) , the government came out and said that the files were “false” and “a apparent hoax”. However even with official statements the damage had been done, already several members of the government (many in the assembly) had resigned in protest over the leaks. And already there had been rioting in the streets of the nations capital.
Many had thought that the worse had already come (and this scandal would blow over eventually). However a team of investigative journalists (with help form whistleblowers form the AIB, who had launched their own investigation into the files) revealed that the “Arcatigate” was a lot worse than anyone had imagined. It wasn’t just the upper leadership of the nations government that was complicit in the scandal, it was most of the nations leadership. Many members form the assembly, members of the national court of justice, high ranking members of several corporations. All were complicit.
The already bad Scandal had irrupted into an outright crisis. It was discovered that the president had fled the country abroad with as much money as he could carry, and that several members of his staff (plus one of two members of the assembly) were caught attempting the same. It was also revealed that the king apparently had gone missing and had fled the capital. What had gone form members of the assembly resigning in protest had become an outright collapse of the government.
And things have only become worse. Across the nations cities mass rioting has taken place. The nation is without its government, and to many the entire rotten structure which had allegedly been severing the nation and its people, has to go
With the Kings Goverment all but collapsed, Their was nobody, no leadership, no nothing, that could effectively respond to the crisis. Many amongst the General Populace had begun to be fearful that the Nation would collapse, Erupting into a second civil war.
However unlike the events that transpired in the so called "Avalonian Nation Liberation war", The Military Wasn't Standing by as the country Began to cave onto itself. Earlier Today, when it became apparent to members of the command staff of the military that the nations goverment had fallen, they'd immediately sprung into action. In the Early Moring Hours of the moring Military Units Had Entered Cities across the Country to Restore order.
But Nowhere was this more need (Or apperent) than the Captial, Military units within the captial stormed and occupied major goverment centers, Form the Steps of the Royal Palace the Ringleader of the so called "Council for the Salvation of Avalon" General Baur Manuel made a statement to the wider Population of The Nation, And Possibly Solitas at large
"Earlier this Week It was Reveled to the Nation at Large, That His Majesty's Goverment, The One that was Supposedly Serving The Nation and Her People. Was a Rotten and Decayed Structure. One that Sought to Serve Its self at the cost of her people. Already the Relvation of this fact to the wider public has Lead to the Collaspe of this "Den of Thieves". However We WIll not Stand Idely By as Our Beloved Country Throws itself head first into another Civil War. It is on this Day October Twenty Ninth 2034, I as the Leading, And Only Highest Ranking Offical In the Nation. Announce the Total dissolution Of the "Kings" Goverment, And the Wider "Kingdom of Avalon" as a Whole. For the Time being an Interim Goverment Shall Be Established While We restore order, Then i Promise you that we will peaceful transition Power to a Newly Established Democratic Goverment, One that shall actually Serve its People."
Already the Military Goverment has begun to crack down on the rioting within the major cities and has begun to set up a "Replacement" Goverment for the Nation. While it has large public support at the moment, Many are critical, and fearful, that the so called Operation Dignitas might be the start of a military dictatorship
It had been Several Hours since the proclamation earlier in the day. Already Results were showing of their work, Most of the Rioting (Mainly in the captial) Had Been dealt with. the offical estimate was that the Chaos Had Been Curbed by 85-90%.
The Easy Part was over, Now Begins the Hardest Part of Any Drastic Govermental Takeover. Be they Coups or Revolutions. Restructing. Baur Sitting in the what was the main grand dineing hall would sigh, Gazing at the reports his assistaint had given to him, it seemed he could go move towards to the next step of the Plan. All He could hope for is that he wouldn't die of stress. While everything was fine so far he could not help but worry. Worry that the instability and Chaos could grow worse. Or that His neighbors Would Bomb Avalon back to the Stone age. He attempted to reassure himself that nobody would want that, as it would only make already bad situation alot worse.
Another assistant would enter the room bringing more news. "You May speak", He Said to the Assistant. "Sir the Imperial Commonwealth has already relased a notice that they do not recognize our interimship sir", The Assiant would speak, Giving the much stressed general the News. "But of Course they Wouldn't believe we are the rightful goverment, Those fools May Believe themselves to be right, But i can only guess that they have no idea how truely bad the situation is".
"However with the Chaos Under control for the most part, it is time we begin phase two. I want you to send a Notice to the central command Hq" Baur would speak. "that we are to send for the list of officals The AIB Reccomended us." Baur continued. "We need to act quickly if we want to get this done, Less the world thinks of us no better than the thieves who stole our Lives from us."
And with that the assitant would leave the room, off to send the notice that would see the collection of the countries greatest polictal minds. Baur could hope that his dream of a truely Free and democratic Avalonain Republic could come to Pass.
But the Interim Goverment would need to surive untill Said republic would be born

Eariler on this Day the 'Council for the Salvation of Avalonian" Had sent Notice to collect the Countries Politcialy minded Scolars and Thinkers and bring them to the nations captail to begin working towards their goal of establishing True Democracy in Avalon. Already Many have Gathered in the former Halls of the National assembly, Were they will begin the process of debating and creating a New Goverment and Constitution for the nation, already several have begun looking aboard at the foundations of other nations, in order to gain a frame work of what will be needed. For in the First time in this nations History, It Actually Will Have A True Consintution.
While this is Expected to Take up the Majorty of the Next week or so (if we are lucky), However in the Mean time the Nation Still Requires Leadership and Governance. In order to Fill the Void which the Republican Goverment will take up, The Iterim Military Goverment has Set up "The National Leadership Council" to function in Place of a goverment in the time being.
Libertad, Democracia y Avalon
Democracy Seems to have Spread even furthur today as "The National Leadership Council" Has Published both the Offical Consitution for the Republic But Has Also Accounced the Date Elections for Many of the Goverment Postions will be.
Already Several Parties Have begun to Campgain In the Streets for the Hopes to Win the Highest Offices in the Nation, Meanwhile The Leadership has begun Preparations to Step Down Once the Elections are Finished.
