Welcome to the 48th Edition of The North Pacific Vision Song Contest!

First, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gallicelestia for hosting a wonderful edition of the North Pacific Vision. The 47th Edition of this illustrious event was deemed with a special theme of "film/series music". The edition was won by TheLandOfFunFunFun for the "Main Theme from Star Wars".

I'll now thank the TNPV Council for giving me the opportunity to host the forty-eighth edition of The North Pacific Vision. I would like to thank everyone who is/will be participating this time.

Before I close this opening address I would like to take a moment to explain what TNPV is. TNPV is a music competition based on Eurovision where you vote for your favourite songs! Basically, you send a song, listen to everyone else's songs, rank your top songs and wait for the host to announce the winner of the contest! For information on how to participate, how to vote and the rules of the competition can be found further down in this dispatch. I am Treekidistan and will be your host this edition and you can come to me with any questions you have!

If you would like to enter the contest, you should telegram Treekidistan using the participation form below. Before telegramming your song, make sure the song and your nation applies to the rules found below the participation form. Deadline day for entering the contest is 7th July. There is no limit of number of contestants.

Rules for participating. You...

• May only participate with your WA nation, (exceptions do apply for NPA personnel or requests accepted by TNPV Council)

• Are obliged to read the telegrams that the host will send to you as they will contain important information
  

When selecting your song...

• Make sure it's less than 6 minutes long

• It's not political, patriotic or religious

• It contains lyrics

• It hasn't been used before in TNPV or Eurovision. Check here to make sure it is valid.

• You send your song via a telegram to Treekidistan using the participation form. If your song fails to meet the requirements, you may choose another song.

• You must send your votes to the host using the voting template (without the text in brackets).

• You can't vote for yourself

• You can't vote for a nation twice

• Failure to vote will lead to disqualification.
