The Kabarovskian National Army (KNA) is the military force of the Centralist Republic of Kabarovsk. Following a bloody civil war that fractured the Federation of Kurzarovsk which formed Kabarovsk and the People's Democratic Commonwealth of Kurzakstan in the '950s. The KNA consists of four service branches: the Ground Forces, Imperial Guard, Naval Forces, and Air Force.

Each of the different military services is assigned a role and domain. The Ground Forces conducts land operations. The Imperial Guard is dedicated to the protection of the president, government officials, tip of the spear attacks, and in some cases, assist Ground Force personnel. The Naval Forces conduct maritime and amphibious operations. The Air Force is unique in that it conducts space and aeronautical operations as the space force is not its own branch.

The President of the Centralist Republic of Kabarovsk is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and forms military policy with the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security, both federal executive departments, acting as the principal organs by which military policy is carried out.

The Kabarovskian National Army is a very large defense force in terms of personnel. Recruits are drawn from a large pool of ambitious and professional volunteers. Kabarovsk has used conscription in the past with the most recent conscription event being in early .M3 following the blitz of Fehran during the Kurzak-Coalition war. The Selective Service System retains the power to conscript males, requiring the registration of all male citizens and residents of Kabarovsk between the ages of 20 and 30.

History




The history of the Kabarovskian National Army dates back to the early '940s with the creation of the United Military Authority when Kabarovsk and Kurzakstan were still one singular nation. The Imperial Guard was not founded until Kabarovsk was founded and as such does not have any history up until 963.M2.

The Ground Forces were founded from the shattered remains the Kurzarovskian United Military Authoriy's 2nd and 11th army corps. Other elements were also included but were either assimilated or disbanded following the breakup. There was no air force as all air bases were located in what is now modern day Kurzakstan. Although a squad of old fighters were captured and reverse engineered.

The KNAAF (Kabarovskian National Army Air Force) was founded in July of 955.M2 by deceased General Zahar Gustev (934.M2-015.M3) after access to blueprints to manufacture the now inferior F-4 phantom were gifted to Kabarovsk by Petronellania following a trade deal regarding military assets. The Naval Forces were founded from the old Kurzarovskian navy since most bases were located in Kabarovsk since sandworms were not a problem in the area.

Structure


Branches

The Ground Forces is the KNA's backbone and the oldest branch. It was officially established on April 20th, 955.M2, four days after the formation of the KNA in general. The ground forces consists of 275,000 personnel across active service, ground reserve, and national guard units. The KNAGF is operated under the Department of Ground Operations (DGO) under the secretary of the ground forces. The KNAGF itself is led by Unified Ground Command which contains the chief of staff (Supreme Commander) and vice chief (General). Both of which are advised by a Chief Admin Sergeant. The Ground Forces' primary responsibility is to conduct prompt and sustained land combat as part of the joint force. KNAGF land power focuses on destroying an enemy's armed forces, occupying its territory, and breaking the will of an adversary.

The Imperial Guard is the branch responsible for the protection of government officials and being the tip of the spear. The Imperial Guard focuses on being the first force in offensive operations when deployed alongside other KNA elements. It was established originally as the royal guard for Kurzarovsk's leaders. The KNAIG is directed by the Department of State Warfare (DSW) which is a military department under the Unified Ground Command alongside the KNAGF.

The DSW is led by the current Field Marshal of the Imperial Guard and the Vice Marshal which are advised by a Chief Company Sergeant. The priorities of the Imperial Guard are as follows: Seizure or defense of advanced naval bases and other land operations to support naval campaigns; development of tactics, technique, and equipment used by amphibious landing forces in coordination with the Army and Air Force; and protection of the president and other government officials as directed.

The Naval Forces is the KNA's maritime force. It was founded on April 18th, 955.M2, following the official formation of the Kabarovskian National Army. The KNANF consists of the regular naval forces and the naval reserve action. The Naval Forces are responsible for maritime operations and security across Kabarovsk's waters. The KNANF is organized under the Department of Naval Operations (DNO), which is a military department under the leadership of the secretary of Naval Warfare and the under secretary of Naval Warfare. The Naval Forces itself is led by the chief of naval operations (Grand Admiral) and the vice chief of naval operations (Admiral), both admirals who are advised by the admin chief petty officer of the Navy.

The Kabarovskian Air Force is the KNA's air force. It was established in July of 955.M2 when blueprints for the F-4 Phantom were gifted from another country. The Air Force serves as the principal air service, responsible for aerial warfare operations. The KNANF is composed of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard. The Air Force is organized under the Department of Aeronautical Warfare (DAW), which is a military department under Unified Ground Command. The Air Force itself is led by the chief of staff (Supreme Commander) and vice chief (General). Both of which are then advised by the Command Flight Sergeant. The core teachings of the KNANF are as follows: Air superiority, global integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, rapid global mobility, global strikes, command and control.

Rifles

MA40 ICWS (7.62x51mm)

The MA40 ICWS feeds from 36-round detachable box magazines. Present above the trigger guard on both sides of the weapon's body are fire selectors, with three dots for positions. One is black, and the others are red, indicating safe and two firing modes, one of which is fully-automatic. The MA40's charging handle is positioned on the left side of its body, and its ejection port is situated on the right. Beneath the end of its barrel is located a multifunction receiver into which devices that grant supplemental functionality, such as infrared laser designators, can be mounted. The MA40 is also capable of being fitted with a sound-suppressor on the fly, to reduce its firing signature. Although it lacks a built-in ammunition indicator like the later models in the MA series, the MA40 is typically equipped with the EVOS-J attachment instead.

BR75 Service Rifle (M634 9.5×40mm HP-SAP)

The BR75 Service Rifle is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, mid-to-long range weapon capable of three fire modes; semi-automatic, fully automatic, and a three-round burst-fire. The weapon is most commonly fired in the latter of these modes. The rifle has a bullpup layout, with a detachable 36-round box magazine loaded behind the grip and trigger, with a safety switch located above the handle. While serving to reduce the weapon's length, the rifled barrel of the weapon extends its total length to 89.9 centimeters (35.4 in). It is typically equipped with a three-pronged flash suppressor, though this attachment can be swapped out for others such as a suppressor.

Carbines

MA5K Carbine (7.62x51mm FMJ-AP)

The standard MA5K is a cut-down version of the standard MA40 assault rifle. It is fully automatic and receives a thirty-round magazine of 7.62×51mm FMJ-AP ammunition. The most conspicuous difference between the MA5K and other MA5 models is the replacement of the distinctive electronics housing with a removable carrying handle similar to that of the BR55 battle rifle. The rear of the rail is fitted with a digital display capable of showing the weapon's remaining ammunition count, alongside a compass for navigation.

ARC-920 (16x65mm M645 FTP-HE)


The Asymmetric Recoilless Carbine-920 (ARC-920), also known simply as the railgun, is a compact-channel linear accelerator weapon used by the Kabarovskian National Army. It is designed and manufactured by Acheron Security. The ARC-920 is one of the various limited-production electromagnetic launchers in service with the KNA, and is widely considered the best among them. The ARC-920 uses a pair of parallel conducting rails to accelerate its projectiles. A large electric current flows from one rail into the projectile and then to the other rail; the electromagnetic effects of this interaction accelerate the projectile to an immense speed. The rifle requires a brief charging period before firing high-explosive rounds accelerated to an incredible speed. The explosive yield contained in the round adds to the kinetic force of the impact, making the weapon effective against both infantry and armor. If the charge is held too long, the weapon will fire automatically - an issue alleviated in later production models and variants in the ARC-920 line.

Submachine Guns

Misriah Armory M7C (5x23mm FMJ)


The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun is an automatic submachine gun that fires from a 60-round magazine which is placed horizontally on the left side of the weapon. Due to the odd horizontal placement of the magazine on the weapon, it can be assumed that the magazine utilizes a circular ramp where the magazine meets the breech. This rotates the horizontally stacked rounds in the magazine 90 degrees until they align with the horizontal breech. The SMG has a polymer pistol grip, folding fore-grip, iron sights, a collapsible buttstock, as well as a titanium body. The SMG must be cocked before it can fire the first round. The charging handle is located on the right side of the gun and does not move during operation. Once the first round is fired, the gases from previous rounds force the breech to rotate and chamber a new round. Once the magazine is empty, the handle although not illustrated in-game, can either be pulled back and locked or it can be fully cycled after a fresh magazine has been housed. If it is first pulled back and locked, then it must be pushed forward in order to chamber a new round. The magazine release button is located between the red dots on the receiver and needs to be pressed before it can be flicked off. There is no ejection port due to the nature of the rounds fired.

Squad Automatic Weapons

M739 LMG (7.62x51mm FMJ-AP)

The M739 is a gas-operated, drum-fed fully-automatic light machine gun that fires 7.62x51mm FMJ-AP ammunition, something shared with other weaponry such as MA5 series-assault rifles and the M392 DMR. With an ammunition readout located mounted atop the weapon. The ammunition readout consists of a series of stacked yellow bars representing the magazine capacity of the weapon, which slowly deplete as ammunition is fired - transiting to orange and then red as the magazine nears empty. The drum magazine itself is located in front of the trigger.

Heavy Machine Guns

M247 HMG (12.7x99mm HVE)

The M247 is an air-cooled, gas-operated, electrically fired, linkless-fed weapon that fires M340 12.7 x 99mm High Velocity, Explosive (HVE) rounds. The standard configuration of the M247 is affixed to a tripod turret base. Like many other KNA support weapons, the M247 is fitted with a metal shield near the rear of its barrel to protect the user. The ammunition box is located behind this shield; the standard box contains 200 rounds. The firing mechanism and trigger are located at the rear of the weapon and are accompanied by a pair of handles, allowing the operator to rotate it 180 degrees.

Sniper Rifles

M99A2S3 Anti Material Sniper Rifle (5.4mm/.21 MA-HVAM)

The M99 works on the same operational principles as other magnetic weapons such as mass drivers and Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, albeit on a much smaller scale. This system works through using a series of electromagnetic coils (an asynchronous linear induction motor) rather than chemical propellants as a source of kinetic energy. The M99's weight and bulk limit the weapon's use to highly specialized long-range precision sniping roles. It is typically used in extreme-range sniping and anti-materiel roles. The 5.4mm/.21 caliber round is very small in comparison to most standard firearms of the era, but using the Gauss technology, the small rounds have the ability to rip targets apart, even through office buildings. This is due to the high force imparted on the round via the Gauss acceleration method. The round creates shockwaves as it passes through the target and ripping through anything not as strong as a foot (30 cm) of titanium. In the case of material targets, this is a minor explosion and the creation of structural fractures. In the case of personnel targets, it simultaneously rips apart and pulverizes the body around the impact area. Even hits in an extremity or near-misses can be deadly.

Marksman Rifles

M392 DMR (7.62x51mm)

The M392 is an air-cooled, magazine-fed, gas-operated select-fire bullpup rifle that fires 7.62×51mm ammunition. It accepts a fifteen-round detachable box magazine. The weapon has a mounted EVOS-D optic capable of 3× magnification. The weapon's fire selector switch (located above the grip) has three settings: SAFE, FIRE, and AUTO. The magazine release button is located directly above the magazine well, behind the trigger. The weapon has an ejection port on either side so it may be used comfortably by a right- or left-handed shooter.

Shotguns

CQS48 Bulldog (12-Gauge)

The CQS48 Bulldog is a pump-action combat shotgun which fires 12-gauge shells from a seven-round rotating drum. After every shot, the foregrip must be retracted and pushed forward again to work the weapon's action and rotate the cylindrical magazine into the next position. The rotary magazine allows the CQS48 to replenish its supply of loaded ammunition substantially faster than the non-detachable magazines of the M45 and M90 shotguns. However, the 12-gauge ammunition it fires is substantially smaller. The Bulldog integrates iron sights and multiple attachment rail segments on its body

M90 CAWS (8-Guage DT-ND)

The M90 Close Assault Weapon System (CAWS), also known as the M90 Close Assault Shotgun, M90 assault shotgun, or simply the M90, is a pump-action shotgun in service within the KNA. It is a military variant of the prolific DTM series of shotguns from Weapon Systems Technology. The M90 is a pump-action shotgun, chambered in the extremely powerful 8-gauge magnum shell, and feeding from a 12-round, dual-tubular, non-detachable magazine. The magazine of the weapon is prominently positioned above the barrel, with the weapon’s glowing iron sights mounted atop it and the receiver located just behind, facing upwards, roughly in-line with the trigger. The magazine possesses a dull grey or glossy black finish with ribbed indents along its length. A flashlight is integrated into the weapon’s forend, which also features a prominent reddish button.

Grenade Launchers

M319 IGL (40mm HEDP)

The M319 Individual Grenade Launcher, more formally known as the Individual Grenade Launcher, Caliber 40mm, M319, is a single-shot, break-action explosives launcher. The weapon has a relatively simple design; a break-action design that allows a single grenade to be loaded into the breech and fired, before reloading again. The muzzle of the weapon has a bulkier frame surrounding the barrel, atop which two picatinny rails are mounted - one on the left and right sides, respectively - allowing for weapon attachments to be mounted onto the launcher. As standard, the weapon has a fold-down foregrip and a top-mounted carry handle. The top of the weapon frame additionally mounts a built-in sight post, with a reticule and a trajectory readout allowing the user to estimate the grenade arc once fired.

Multiple Launch Rocket Systems

MLRS-1 Hydra (9X-G HEAB)

The Multiple Launch Rocket System-1 Hydra Gyroc Launcher (MLRS-1 HGL) is a rapid-fire guided munitions launcher in the Hydra line of weaponry manufactured by Chalybs Defense Solutions and used by the KNA. It is the predecessor to the MLRS-2 model. The MLRS-1 Hydra Gyroc Launcher is a highly versatile guided missile launcher that can operate in a variety of different environments. The weapon was designed to be effective against both infantry and vehicle targets. The Hydra is designed to be as easy to operate as a conventional rifle, albeit one that fires 9X-G gyroscopically stabilized High-Explosive Air Bursting (HEAB) micro-missiles from the weapon's six-chamber, revolving cylinder. Highly effective in both close-quarters combat and medium-range engagements, the Hydra can be used in a direct-fire mode, though it is most deadly when using a real-time VISR connection to lock-on and guide missiles to the target. The Hydra's sophisticated automatic targeting and tracking system allows the user to target not only individual infantry, but even distinct parts of enemy vehicles to effect a clean and efficient kill.

ATGMs

M41 SPNKr (102mm STSGM)

The M41 Surface-to-Surface Rocket Medium Anti-Vehicle / Assault Weapon (M41 SSR MAV/AW), formally known as the Medium Anti-Vehicle / Assault Weapon, Bore 102mm, M41 Surface-to-Surface Rocket Launcher, and commonly known as the Jackhammer or the SPNKr (pronounced "spanker"), is a heavy ordnance weapon used by the KNA. The M41 SPNKr is characterized by its two main components: firstly, a reusable launcher that opens and closes with a hinge mechanism, which encircles most of the magazine; secondly, a disposable magazine containing two rockets. The launcher is shoulder-fired, and the wielder stabilizes the weapon by holding a foregrip extending from the trigger guard. The weapon uses a unique system for loading and firing: rather than using a traditional magazine or single-shot system, it is fed by a disposable unit with two tubes, each of which holds a single rocket. When one of the rockets is fired, the other is cycled into place; when both have been fired, the operator opens the launcher, removes the twin-tube unit to insert another, and then closes the mechanism around the unit. As such, the M41 is considerably portable, allowing the operator to quickly reload while in combat and greatly reduces the weight he carries without throwing the weapon away. A self-test button on the weapon rotates the twin-tubes to ensure the mechanism will rotate as intended.

MANPADS

M57 Pilum Assault Weapon (50x130mm HEMP)

The M57 Pilum Assault Weapon (M57 PAW) is a shoulder-fired heavy weapon issued to personnel of the Ground Force, Imperial Guard, and the Navy. Despite performing much the same as the M41 rocket launcher, the M57 rocket launcher is cheaper and substantially lighter. The M57 rocket launcher is also significantly different in design philosophy, featuring a single, reusable, fixed tube and detachable box magazines rather than dual, rotating, pre-loaded, disposable tubes. The weapon is fed by a two-round detachable box magazine on the upper left side, forward of the user. The magazine retracts into the weapon when chambering each round. A 2× magnification scope folds out from a module on the left side when activated. Its missiles are able to lock onto aircraft if the operator uses smart scope. Standard warheads used by the rocket launcher are M29 50x130mm high-explosive multi-purpose, but specialist rounds are also available, including those with thermobaric fillers or dumb AI-driven "brilliant" guidance systems.

Sidearms

M6G Magnum (12.7x40mm SAP-HE)

The M6G PDWS is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed, large-caliber handgun. The weapon has a polymer handle, along with a titanium alloy body and an electroless nickel-plate finish. The sidearm fires the M225 SAP-HE (Semi-Armor Piercing, High Explosive) rounds from an 8 to 12-round magazine. The slide is tapered at the rear and sports forward-facing, diagonal serrations. The magazine release is set above and parallel to the lower lip of the trigger; the magazine's lip is shaped like an irregular trapezoid. The striker juts farther from the slide, reminiscent of a hammer. This model is equipped with an underslung flashlight attachment or laser module.

Grenades

M9 Fragmentation Grenade (HE-DP)

The M9 High-Explosive Dual-Purpose Antipersonnel Grenade is the standard-issue hand grenade of the Kabarovskian National Army. The weapon is semi-erroneously known as a fragmentation grenade and the colloquial frag. Furthermore, the M9 designation technically refers to several models of varying design. The grenade's explosive power comes from Composition L or "ComL" - an explosive filler inside every M9 grenade with a volume of 190 grams (6.7 ounces). ComL is generally stable until the explosion is triggered, at which point the exterior casing fragments into roughly 1x5mm shards, and is sent flying in various predetermined directions. The M9 is triggered by a simple digital timer fuse, which then detonates a small primer explosive, in turn triggering the ComL to explode and send the shrapnel fragments flying away from the grenade. The digital timer fuse sits atop the top of the weapon, with a hardpoint available to allow the grenade to be linked to a serviceman's battle dress uniform (BDU).

Towed Artillery

M25 Asynchronous Linear Induction Motor (25x130mm MATR)

The M25 Asynchronous Linear Induction Motor is a weapon that fires hyper-velocity, high-density projectiles similar to those of a Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, except on a much smaller scale. Also known among the troops as the "68," "Rail Gun," "Tent Pole," and the "Gas Gun." The M25 uses an asynchronous linear-induction motor to produce a bipolar magnetic field capable of launching a 25x130mm projectile at an incredible speed of just under Mach 40, or approximately 13.7 km per second. The great velocity of the projectile is the key to the stopping power and performance of the Gauss cannon, giving it exceptional armor penetration at impressive ranges.

M2488 Onager MAC (15cm 1.1GJ HV/FTHPP)

The Mark 2488 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, formally designated 15 cm Mark/2488 1.1GJ MAC, also known as the Onager and often referred to as a "mass driver", is a Magnetic Accelerator Cannon fielded onto naval vessels as their primary armament. The Onager is capable of firing a 15 cm ferric-tungsten hollow-point round with up to 1.1 gigajoules of kinetic energy. It has five linearly arranged magnetic coils, each of which needs to charge individually before each shot. The weapon needs to cool off after every shot, and does so by opening a radial vent on the upper portion of the barrel. The weapon is operated from a small booth on the left side of the cannon. A mass driver, or "electromagnetic catapult", is a space-launch method that uses a linear motor to accelerate payloads to extremely high speeds. All existing and contemplated mass drivers use coils of wire energized by electricity to make electromagnets. Sequential firing of a row of electromagnets accelerates the payload along a path. After leaving the barrel, the payload continues to travel due to inertia. Once the payload has been accelerated, the two separate, and the holder is slowed and cycled for another payload.

Uniforms

Battle Dress Uniforms

Cross-Branch Battle Dress Uniform:

All branches of the KNA sport fatigues with varying camouflage patterns depending on the operation; the most widely used is a light woodland scheme, though desert pattern fatigues are also common. The armor plating used by the Army is generally colored dust brown, gray, or olive drab. The main components of the armor include an armored vest, a CH252 combat helmet, shoulder pauldrons, thigh armor, and in some cases, shin guards. Most of the armor components are standardized and are shared by the different branches of the KNA, primarily the Imperial Guard and the Air Force. The chest armor has an extension to provide protection to the groin. The thighs are protected by plates of UA/NxRA non-explosive reactive armor with attachment rigs for equipment. The shoulder pauldrons are secured into rigs covering the upper arms and attached to the armor vest. Different types of pauldrons may be worn with the armor, the most common ones being a GUNGNIR shoulder pad and a larger pauldron of a different model; some troopers wear a different pauldron on each shoulder, while others wear two of the same type. Radio operators wear no pauldron on the left shoulder.

AN/PVS-31

The AN/PVS-31, also known as the F5032, is an advanced night vision goggle system designed for military and law enforcement use. It features dual tube technology, providing enhanced depth perception and situational awareness in low-light or nighttime conditions. With its lightweight and ergonomic design, the AN/PVS-31 offers improved comfort and maneuverability for extended missions. Equipped with high-performance image intensifier tubes, it delivers clear and detailed imagery, allowing users to navigate and engage targets with precision. The system is compatible with various weapon optics and accessories, further enhancing its versatility in combat operations.


Head & Body Protection Systems

M52B Protection System

M52B body armor weighs 14.5 pounds (6.58 kilograms) and features a heavy chest plate with a layered surface and characteristic buckled straps running over the user's trapezius to secure it against the backplate, along with connectors under the arms. An additional buckle is located centrally on the bottom of the chest plate, and the chest plate and backplate are worn over a vest of flexible black material which covers the entire torso and runs partially down the upper-arms. The arm coverage of the vest extends only over the outwards-facing portion of the arm, is strapped over the underside, and features integrated pauldron assemblies. Below the pauldrons on each side, small shapes extrude from the black material, textured by a number of circular cut-outs. This version of the M52B features a prominent protective collar around the side and back of the neck. It lacks an abdominal plate, instead sporting a raised, brown-colored patch of additional material over the stomach which tapers into groin protection, and a flat-topped discolored plate at the bottom of the back with two attachment loops on it.

The standard helmet weighs 4 lbs (1.8 kg). When worn with the Imperial Guard's M52B body armor, the helmet is typically painted olive drab, though when worn with other body armor models, the helmet is painted to match the body armor. Within the Ground Force, the helmet is generally painted tan, dust gray, or olive drab; medics' helmets feature a caduceus. Air Force pilots' helmets are painted dull brown, similar to those of many Guardsmen. In the Imperial Guard, the name of the wearer is sometimes stenciled on the back of the helmet, though this is not always the case. The helmet can be outfitted with a heads-up display eyepiece or ballistic goggles that can be polarized either orange or black. The helmet can be equipped with various attachments, such as a boom microphone, a tactical flashlight, an O/I optics device, or the PZY-955SSA remote sensor. The helmet can be fitted with an accessory clip which can be used to mount a night vision device. The basic "Grunt" configuration of the helmet features a chin strap, though this is typically not worn by Guardsmen. Balaclavas are often worn with the helmet, especially when operating in frigid environments, though they are occasionally worn in temperate and desert


Ground Vehicles

Tanks

M820 Scorpion

The M820 Main Battle Tank is similar in most respects to its predecessor, the M808 Scorpion—it is a lightly built, highly mobile weapons platform, utilizing four independently operating tracked bogies for high maneuverability on rugged terrain, and features a low hull profile with a highly placed cannon, with a cupola pintle-mounted crew-serviced machine gun and room on the bogies for limited troop transport. It differs from the M808 in a number of important ways, however, it is significantly lighter than its 66 ton predecessor—at only 35 tons—and can achieve a top speed of 128.7 kilometers per hour (80 miles per hour), a significant improvement over the M808's top speed of 96.5 kmph (60 mph). However, it does not exchange mass for armor protection, retaining its survivability. More importantly, the new Scorpion is built from the ground up with new technologies and techniques, lacking the Scorpion's deferred technology revisions and historical compromises. The Scorpion is outfitted with a 150mm M990 electrothermal-chemical smoothbore cannon, breaking legacy ammo compatibility with its M808 predecessor. Instead, the M820 Scorpion's cannon accommodates both planned cannon-launched guided munitions and future advances in energetic propellants.

XM820B4 Scorpion

Visually, the XM820B4 is a M820 Scorpion hull equipped with a weapon visually identical to the standard M990 electrothermal-chemical smoothbore cannon. Unlike the M990 and other similar tank guns, the Hannibal Scorpion platform is a test bed for vehicle-equipped directed energy weapons. The main turret of the Scorpion fires a miniaturized Brightlance Compound Directed Energy Weapon, while the hull-mounted machine gun nest is equipped with a rapid-firing gauss repeater turret similar to that of an M25 Asynchronous Linear Induction Motor. When firing its laser cannon, the laser has a charge-up time of 0.6 seconds and a cooldown of 2.75 seconds. When charging, several lights around the turret begin to glow and electrical energy coalesces around the barrel until the shot is discharged. At this point, the cannon's (usual) autoloader moves back to eject steam, presumably for cooling down the cannon. The explosion generated by the laser's impact on a surface resembles that of gauss weaponry, with a blue explosion and sparks emitted from the impact site. The gauss turret is capable of firing at a rate of six shots per second, and capable of firing for up to 3.75 seconds on fully automatic before needing to cool down for 1.95 seconds.

APCs/ IFVs

M650 Mastodon

The Mastodon is heavily-armored and considered the cutting edge of expeditionary and troop transportation, though is lightly-armed. The vehicle is comprised of a heavily-armored and bulky main chassis with a large interior compartment capable of holding up to twenty infantry. The interior compartments see the crew cockpit in the fore of the vehicle, nestled above the drive containing the forward two pairs of wheels. The vehicle's driver is situated in the front, facing forward, with storage lockers mounted on either side of them. Behind the driver is the vehicle's joint commander-gunner, who is seated facing toward the vehicle's rear with their back to the driver. The commander-gunner can operate the vehicle's sole turret via a remote weapon link.

M15 "Razorback" Light Tactical Vehicle

The M15 Razorback was initially designed as a specialized offshoot of the ubiquitous Warthog, and was eventually modified over the years to incorporate data from testing programs on a number of virtually uncharted worlds. The Razorback's increased armor and payload capacity ensure the vehicle is a viable option on the battlefield even when not mounted with weapon systems. The Razorback employs a visually similar chassis to the Warthog, albeit with a fortified windshield and a bumper reinforcement. The Razorback has a number of specialized variants, and has come to replace the other various personnel carrier Warthogs in both Ground Force and Imperial Guard service. The standard variant of Razorback features only the aforementioned roll cage and troop bay, though armed variants are also in service, and are compatible with all standard weapon systems. As of 550.M3, more specialized Razorbacks are additionally undergoing field trials within the KNA. These include variants armed with command and control, electronic warfare, and surveillance suites.

M12 "Warthog" Force Application Vehicle

The Warthog is a four-wheel drive, all-terrain utility vehicle capable of going over any obstacle without difficulty. Under the hood the M12's power is generated by a forward-housed low-profile liquid-cooled hydrogen-injected ICE I/C plant, coupled with an automatic infinitely variable transmission (IVT). The hydrogen fuel is burned at a very high temperature with a synthetic carbon/silicon catalyst to achieve even better fuel consumption. The Warthog features a Graf/Hauptman solar/saline actuator, which is capable of converting up to twelve liters of fresh, brackish or salt water into hydrogen on the fly. Detritus from the process is compacted on board and disposed of manually by the crew. This allows the Warthog to travel 790 kilometers (490 miles) before it needs to be refueled, a range that can be easily extended by the addition of any container capable of holding liquid. Older models boast a fully independent swing-arm suspension system and four in-hub wheel motors. The Warthog is a huge, unwieldy, difficult to steer vehicle — until a user learns how to drive it properly. With proper application of the hand, or "e-brake" the M12 can actually turn on a dime. Massive disc brakes and its automatic braking systems allow the vehicle to come to a near immediate, but controlled stop should the driver be ejected, or choose to leave the vehicle. The Warthog's tires have moved away from previous inert-gas pocket inflation with far more resilient and superior burst-proof single unit nanotube skeletons. They provide the buoyancy and ride of gas-pocket tires, but are almost indestructible, allowing the M12 to easily roll through situations that would leave other vehicles disabled and vulnerable.

M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle

Removing the turret of a Warthog to create dedicated scout or other weaponized variants of Warthog is a simple process, and has allowed the KNA to employ many combat configurations of the vehicle with different weapons for different roles. Warthogs equipped with Light Anti-Aircraft chainguns are designated as Warthog Light Reconnaissance Vehicles. The Light Reconnaissance Vehicle is the most common variant of the Warthog seen on the battlefield, designed to eliminate lightly armored personnel and low-flying aircraft. Chaingun Warthogs have been employed on both the M12 Warthog and M12B Warthog chassis types, all unified with the presence of a 12.7x99mm chaingun of some variety. M12 Warthogs and their derivatives such as the M864 Arctic and Fireball Warthogs typically employed the M41 Vulcan, a triple-barreled, electric-powered, linkless belt-fed machine gun capable of firing 500 penetrating rounds per minute. The standard ammunition loadout for the chaingun is armor-piercing but a number of specialist rounds exist, such as proximity-fused-high-explosive or less-than-lethal-stunball rounds.


SPGs

M400 Kodiak

The Kodiak consists of an 8x8 truck chassis - a contrast to the typical expectations of self-propelled artillery pieces such as the M145D Rhino which utilize a tracked chassis instead. The Kodiak's truck is designed with an armored cabin located in the front of the vehicle and the aft mounting a 152mm M4131 rapid-fire howitzer - an indirect-fire electromagnetic catapult weapon system also used in static positions as part of the "Siege turret" system. Kodiaks are generally considered to be slow and ponderous on the move, though this is made up for by the M4131 howitzer - which is capable of firing standard 152mm high-explosive artillery rounds alongside more specialized payloads such as drones and precision-guided weapons.

MRLSs

M80 Multiple Rocket Launch System

The M80 Multiple Launch Rocket System (M80 MLRS), known simply as the Rocket pod turret is a portable turret in use by the KNA. The M80 consists of a tripodal launcher, in which three rocket tubes are oriented around the launcher's central axis. The weapon assembly is formed of three main modules - a central fire control system with an integrated sensor package, and two of the aforementioned detachable launcher pods. Each of the individual rocket cells features an internal reloading mechanism and anti-blast safety features to mitigate injury to the user in the event of damage to the rockets contained within. The M80 is relatively light and self-contained, and is compatible to be fitted on any vehicle or structure compatible with its war-era predecessor, the M79 MLRS. They may be deployed as a turret mounting on the back of an M12R Rocket Warthog (or other vehicle), or deployed atop a standalone tripod for site defense.

Aerial Vehicles

Fighters

FSS-1000 Sabre

Originally designated as the YSS-1000 Sabre during the prototyping phase, this fighter was designed in partnership by Izhevsk Engineering and Misriah Armory to compete in the Emergency Defense Fighter initiative against the Pegasus project. It was intended to offer the KNA a swift, versatile, and lethal defense interceptor that could engage hostile forces in the air and low orbit, preventing them from establishing a dominant position before ground engagements. The Sabre's armament includes twin M1024 30mm autocannons as well as twin-linked ST/Medusa missile pods; these missiles are capable of maintaining a lock on even fast-moving and highly evasive craft which could likely "shake" most projectiles. The Sabre's targeting computer can identify enemy contacts from a long distance, as well as show the distance to a target. The craft is intended for lethal encounters, not for simply disrupting or disabling targeted craft.

Attack Craft

AV-49 Wasp

Considered fast to produce and easy to maintain and optimize, the AV-49 shares several similarities with its fellow (outdated) aerodynes, the AV-14 Hornet, AV-19 SkyHawk, AV-22 Sparrowhawk, and AV-30 Kestrel. The aircraft features an integrated VTOL propulsion system that combines dual lift ducted fan engines used by the AV-30 with air-cooled vectored-thrust fusion thrusters for forward movement. The AV-49 also features twin 7.62 M199 heavy machine guns and twin 50mm M400 missile launchers, and cyberlink-compatible fly-by-light avionics. The Wasp augments existing stocks of AV-14 and AV-22 aircraft in Guard service. KNA doctrine sees the Wasp employed as a gunship escort for troop transports or on-call close air support for special forces teams. The Office of Naval Intelligence employs their own variant of Wasp, using it for night sorties and stealth surveillance missions.

Bombers

C718-Longsword

The C718 Longsword is triangular in shape, much like the other variants of GA-TL1 Longsword. However, the C718 features six engines in total, and forgoes the distinct tail-like spinal ridge sported by the C709 and C712 Longswords. The C718's cockpit protrudes less prominently than the cockpits of the other variants, and the craft large intakes on both sides of said cockpit. The C718 is also known to sport some form of stealth technology. The C718 Longsword is heavily armed; it is commonly equipped with an ALI-50 110mm autocannon, four M9109 50mm coilguns, four ASGM-15 missiles, sixty M888 Octadart bombs, one M2475 Shiva missile silo, and an M1011 Moray space mine system.

Attack Helicopters

UH-144 Falcon

The UH-144 Falcon is a versatile, multipurpose utility helicopter. The Falcon gained favor within the KNAGF for proving to be an economical alternative to the larger dropships for short-range troop transportation and deployment, and attack runs. A pair of Falcons can easily and quickly transport a fully-equipped infantry squad faster than any previous helicopter, while providing overwhelming support fire, in most weather conditions. The Falcon's hull is sturdy, able to easily shrug off small arms fire and even certain heavier attacks. The frame of the Falcon is composed of a single elongated fuselage with a narrow, single-man cockpit and a large rear cabin, flanked by small wings. The pilot resides in the closed cockpit, while the crew have their choice of two gunner seats in extended buckets, two interior passenger seats, an aft bench, and a limited amount of standing room. Gunners secured themselves within the Falcon with a safety harness that hung from the ceiling.

Cargo Craft

D77 Pelican

The Dropship-77, commonly referred to as the pelican is an extremely versatile cargo craft created by UNSC Weapon Systems. In its role as a dropship, the Pelican is mainly for the pickup and transportation of personnel, vehicles and equipment, though some variants are capable of serving in the role of a gunship. The KNA has also been known to use Pelicans as civilian vehicles for quick evacuations. The Pelican's primary armament consists of one or more nose-mounted projectile weapons, typically autocannons or machine guns. Commonly known as "chin guns" due to their placement, these weapons are controlled via an Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System (IHADSS), which links to the pilot's or co-pilot's heads-up display and allows them to target the gun by head movements. The Pelican's standard armament is a chin-mounted M370 autocannon, which is sometimes linked with another such weapon; the M370 fires 70mm high-explosive armor-piercing (HEAP) rounds as standard ammunition, with depleted-Uranium slugs also being an option. This replaced the older M340 autocannon that was common prior to 985.M2. Some Imperial Guard Pelicans are armed with a single 70mm rotary machine gun instead of a chain gun.

Gunships

Lockheed AC-130

The Lockheed AC-130 gunship is a heavily armed, long-endurance, ground-attack variant of the C-130 Hercules transport, fixed-wing aircraft. It carries a wide array of ground-attack weapons that are integrated with sophisticated sensors, navigation, and fire-control systems. Unlike other modern military fixed-wing aircraft, the AC-130 relies on visual targeting. Since its large profile and low operating altitudes around 7,000 feet (2,100 m) make it an easy target, its close air support missions are usually flown at night.

Naval Vessels

Patrol Boats

Akimov-Class Patrol Boat

The Akimov-Class Patrol Boat is a versatile maritime vessel designed for patrol and combat operations. With a length of 45 meters and a displacement of 300 tons. Armaments include a 37mm auto cannon, 2 mortars, 4 ATGM launcher tubes with 20 missiles, and two Kord Machine Guns, along with internal torpedo bays. Powered by a state-of-the-art propulsion system, it offers impressive speed and maneuverability. Equipped with advanced sensors and communication systems. The crew holds a maximum of 12 personnel, it excels in missions such as maritime patrol, search and rescue, anti-smuggling, counter-terrorism, coastal defense, and escort.

Minelayers

Sysoev-Class Minelayer

The Sysoev-Class Minelayer is a highly capable naval vessel designed for strategic mine-laying operations, boasting advanced mine-laying systems capable of efficiently deploying various types of naval mines. These vessels are armed with various anti-aircraft guns, anti-ship missiles, and close-in weapon systems. Incorporating stealth features and modern electronic warfare systems, Sysoev-Class Minelayers minimize radar detection and enhance survivability in hostile environments. With a crew size typically ranging from 80 to 120 personnel, these vessels are manned by skilled officers, engineers, technicians, and support staff.

Submarines

Alexander-Class Nuclear Submarine

The Alexander-Class Nuclear Submarine is a nuclear class of underwater vessel, boasting advanced stealth, firepower, and endurance capabilities. Named after Alexander Vasiliev, it accommodates a crew of 120 and features a next-generation nuclear reactor for virtually unlimited range. Armed with 16 Vertical Launch System tubes, 8 torpedo tubes, and an electronic warfare suite. Certain submarines can also include nuclear missiles. The submarine includes anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare. Its stealth features include anechoic coating and a quiet propulsion system, while advanced sensors and communication systems enhance situational awareness. With its ability to operate independently for extended periods and its integration into broader naval command networks.

Corvettes

Gladiator-Class Heavy Corvette

The Gladiator-class heavy corvette is a class of corvette in service with the KNA Navy, designated with the hull code of FS. The hull of this class are reinforced with Titanium-A armor. The Gladiator-class are outfitted with an extensive sensor suite that uses a combination of laser and radar scanners for actively detecting and tracking targets. These corvettes are armed with a single 20DA1C2 MAC, only two M58 Archer missile pods, and a small network of M870 Rampart point defense guns, used for defense against strike craft and torpedoes. Crewed by a total of fifteen sailors, the Gladiator-class carries no troops. As these corvettes are substantially outgunned by most warships, they must rely on their small size and low sensor profile to avoid unwinnable battles.

Destroyers

Chernov-Class Destroyer

The Chernov-class destroyer is a class of destroyer in service with the KNANF with a hull classification symbol of DD. The Chernov features a distinct "arrowhead" profile which allows the ship to cut through the water more efficiently. The hull is made up of approximately two meters of Titanium-A armor, with parts of the hull featuring components made up of Vanadium steel. Chernovs are also equipped with an advanced sensor array, the Mk. 45 long-range fire director. The destroyer class has a circular bridge with an array of display monitors for its crew. Though these destroyers are not as heavily armored compared to other warships in the Navy's fleet, they are armed with enhanced weapons systems that make up for their relatively light defensive capabilities. The primary MAC is capable of firing all standard munition packages, ranging from hyper-dense kinetic slugs to semi-autonomous drone missiles. The secondary, smaller coilgun is only capable of firing kinetic rounds. The MAC battery is powered by capacitor cells that can quickly be swapped out if the cells become damaged or degraded. Chernov class destroyers also come with eight archer missile pods.

Frigates

Mulsanne-Class Light Frigate

The Mulsanne-class light frigate is a classification of frigate employed by the KNA Navy. The Mulsanne-class bears some superficial design similarities to the Strident-class heavy frigate and Charon-class light frigate, as opposed to the more radical departure in design style. The largest difference from other similar frigate classes involves the complete lack of a lower deployment bay or cargo storage area. Additionally, the ship is more concentrated around a central frame, with the ship's fusion drives situated relatively close to the ship's horizontal axis, rather than placed more afar like those of the Strident. The wings on either side of the frigate are more skeletal in nature, rather than the bulked overlapping armor of the older frigate classes. The frigate's primary armament consists of a Brightlance compound reflex laser. When firing, the weapon must charge before emitting a short blue beam. Unlike traditional MACs, the weapon is not fired from a barrel and firing mechanism amid one of the frigate's hulls, but instead from between the dual hulls. The frigate boasts twenty M58 Archer missile pods as a secondary armament, and twelve M870 Rampart point defense guns for point-defense. Although it is classed as a light frigate, Mulsanne frigates fill a similar role to the retired Paris-class heavy frigate - optimized for swift offensive strikes and thus carrying a diverse weapons complement. As such, it is considered one of the most adaptable warships in the KNA Navy.

Eros-Class Heavy Frigate

The Eros-class heavy frigate is a classification of fleet escort ship in service with the KNA Navy. The ship was introduced only two years prior to the outbreak of the Kabarovsk-Kurzakstan War, and is considered extremely effective on a tonne-for-tonne basis—resulting in it rapidly becoming one of the most-constructed ships in the navy by the war's end. The Eros saw notable employment in the final battles of the war, namely the Siege of Fehran and the Battle for the Kurzak Sea. The Eros follows a design lineage established with its forebears, the Charon-class light frigate and Stalwart-class light frigates. The ship is predominantly identified by the two primary booms on its fore, the upper of which containing the ships's primary 65P8V1 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon—the primary weapon of which the ship is built around. The MAC is fitted with seventeen magnetic coils. The lower boom houses the ship's navigation sensors and communications arrays, culminating in a series of antenna that protrude from the fore of the ship. These hull booms are flanked by two horizontal modules which run a third of the ship's length, and each contain deployment bays alongside the housings and mechanisms for five of the M870 Rampart point-defence turrets (three located on the upper hull, two below) and six M2950 Harpoon nuclear missile silos, respectively.

Cruisers

Marathon-Class Heavy Cruiser

Marathon-class heavy cruisers are more than twice the length of a typical frigate. Despite their size, Marathon-class cruisers are dwarfed by larger classes of ships used by the KNA. As the successor to the Halcyon-class cruiser, these vessels have a similar profile, with a forward 'head' and large engine segment protected by armor cowlings, yet are not not identical and feature a streamlined inwards-slanted underside. The class also sports a thick 191-centimeter hull of Titanium-A armor, enabling it to withstand substantial amounts of fire. Like all warships of the Kabarovskian Navy, Marathon-class heavy cruisers have a degree of operational flexibility that is achieved through the use of modular mission packages and reconfigurable hangar bays. Though a rare configuration, these cruisers could be modified and equipped to function as a light carrier, sacrificing missile pods and all of its cargo bays for additional hangar capacity. Marathon-class heavy cruisers feature a standard complement of one thousand personnel, and are typically commanded by a captain or rear admiral. They are also known to have the capacity to carry Imperial Guard contingents as well as accompanying dropship transportation. Marathon-class cruisers are considered among the most powerful warships in the Navy, and have an armament to suit. Their primary armament consists of a heavy Magnetic Accelerator Cannon; with two 49F9A1 MACs. This is reinforced with a secondary Missile Delivery System consisting of 70 M58 Archer missile pods, 26 M40 Longbow missile pods, and 5 fusion rockets. The vessel is also equipped with a series of six M66 Sentry naval autocannons for general anti-ship duties, and a tertiary Point Defense Network of 12 M810 Helix point defense guns for close-in defense against space fighters, dropships, boarding craft, and missiles.

Battlecruisers

Valiant-Class Battlecruiser

The Valiant-class battlecruiser (sometimes referred to as a "super heavy cruiser") is a classification of capital ship within the KNA Navy. Despite its designation as a cruiser, the Valiant also bears similarities to a battleship - sacrificing the firepower and armor protection of a full battleship to retain more multi-mission capabilities. The Valiant class features fusion drives that were considered next generation at the time of the class' inception, though there were delays in incorporating them. As one of the most powerful warships in the KNA Navy, these cruisers are capable of holding their own against most opponents. The Valiant class has the tonnage and firepower to augment battle groups composed of smaller warships on patrols, as well as the space to install flag bridge facilities to be commanded by admirals. These flag bridges can be enormous, with two dozen bridge stations used not only to control the ship and its systems, but also to coordinate the activities of the entire battle group. They also have large view screens that stretch from the floor to the ceiling.

The Imperator-Class aircraft carrier's primary armament lies is its 56A2F9 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, a rapid-fire variant of the MAC normally mounted on Stalwart-class frigates. The Imperator often lent its firepower in coordinated volleys, despite the 56A2F9's intended use as a purely defensive weapon. The MAC is supplemented by two Mark 15 Breakwater naval coilguns on the prow. To defend against fighters and smaller attack ships that usually break through its escorting battle group, the ship possesses twelve M66 Sentry autocannons and M870 Rampart point defense guns. Supplementing the Ramparts are twenty M810 Helix point defense guns.
