----THE ASTORIAN AWARDS----

Hello everyone! To celebrate the end of our 2023, we had decided to host an award ceremony on the lands of our Discord. Now, I shall tell you the tale of the prizes given out on January 1st:

----THE NOMINATIONS----
It seemed like a good idea, at the time, to democratize our entire system of award giving, and so we opened a form where the public chose who they thought were a good fit for each of the ten categories selected by the dear Council of Ministers. A good idea, but it also gave us:

So we'll say it was a success.

----THE VOTING----
Our dear public also got to vote on the things they nominated. From the 30th to the 31st, 16 submissions were put in the mysterious box of ballots, from the jokey ones to the serious, each was taken into consideration to the final stage,

----THE AWARDS----
The final and most exciting phase, a special category for our awards was created, consisting of an audience and the great stage, where your host, yours truly, gave the prizes and the winners accepted them.

An award originally meant for RMBers who weren't on the Discord, it got turned into a general spot for the voices that made our board a more exciting place.

Oh, boy, oh boy. This award is meant to award the message that brang us the most joy all across the year, or the message that had us Ambis. I'm not quite sure.

The actual final award, phoned into our ceremony, a personal award, devoid of votes, just His Majesty's own opinion. While giving his award, Astoreus said the following:

The next award will be conferred directly by me. It's a way to show my appreciation to someone who I believe has contributed greatly to our community and deserves a special award...

For her 7th acceptance of the night, Rosartemis!

Astoreus: Rosa unquestionably earned this award, displaying exceptional promise from the start, she has quickly risen to the highest offices, both in the government and the military. Arguably our finest Prime Minister, she will establish a benchmark for the future leaders of Astoria. Congratulations!

----FINAL THOUGHTS----
Thank all of you for making 2024 such a great year! I do want to make this into an annual thing, so, see you January 1st of 2025? This ceremony and awards were extremely fun to organize and host, I'd like to thank the incredible Rosartemis for our medals. I would also like to thank everyone who participated, our nominees and winners, and Astoreus for his special appearance!
