Icelands of Alazaar

The least hospitable province of Straknov, Alazaar, is found in the northern part of the nation. Colloquially known as the Icelands, temperature rarely raises above freezing point. Home to plenty of old fortresses and mountain cities, this indicates it once was an important place. Nowadays, it's the last frontier that seperates Straknov from the Northland nations, the place where Father Frost and Shogun Winter often meet.

Not much is known about the antiquity of Alazaar. However, the people must have been ingenious to be able to not only survive but also prosper there. In recent history, Alazaar has been a province of exile. As such, there is plenty of industry found. Due to the cold and remoteness, trade is conducted via the Yuu'in airfield and the Bolim freight line. Attempts to build a heated port have been ongoing but are often shot down due to construction and maintenance costs.
