The Merilio-Rovigian Kingdom is a small state which exists in West Merilia. The country is a military backed state surrounded by the warlords of the Merilian Civil War. The government is modeled off the ancient Rovigian Republic, with Consuls who act as the Heads of Government, and the Senate being a powerful institution, being made up of Merilian elite and Vapian settlers. The state was created due to the Vapian government wishing to extend their influence on Osea. The Vapians used an ancient journal theorized to have been from an ancient explorer who sailed beyond the known world, which at this point was beyond the North-West Osean Bay. Despite never stating where the journal writer landed, the Vapians apart of the Rovigian Nationalist faction of the Rovigian Senate voted to send an expedition to the Far East.
