Salman Rushdie stabbed. How do we respond?

The stabbing of Salman Rushdie shows us that nowhere is safe, not even that vaunted bastion of free speech, America. We live in a world where an offended Muslim from New Zealand can book a flight to the United States and make his way all the way to Texas in order to make an attempt on anti-Islamist activist and anti-fascist Pamela Geller's life.

Salman Rushdie was stabbed 34 years after he published his book The Satanic Verses. These fascists will stop at nothing and they will hunt us to the ends of the Earth for the rest of our lives. They also assassinated a Japanese translator and nearly assassinated two others who worked with Rushdie, however remotely. This is a declaration of war on all of humanity by Islamist fascists who are violently offended over words, expressions, cartoons, and book burnings. This is a declaration of war against freedom. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. There IS compulsion in religion.

So what's the solution? Do we ban all Muslim immigration? Do we deport all Muslims? Do we force all Muslims to renounce their faith under pain of death, "re-education", or deportation? Clearly, not all Muslims are violent-minded fascists and we cannot allow ourselves to stoop to the level of our fascist and communist foes. But absent such drastic, morally questionable measures, what will it take for all of us to truly be safe? Here's what I propose.

First, Muslim immigration and naturalization around the world should be tightly restricted and entry should only be granted in exceptional circumstances to those who have yet to be admitted. Those who are born in non-Muslim countries should be treated as second-generation immigrants who must apply for citizenship like anyone else, ideally when they turn 18 and have demonstrated a frank and sincere appreciation of non-Muslim, democratic values and are of good moral character. A policy of ideological exclusion must be strictly applied along the borders and ports of entry of non-Muslim nations.

Donald Trump had the right idea when he wanted to temporarily ban all Muslim immigration from seven Muslim countries until it could be guaranteed that such mass Muslim immigration posed no security risks, but his administration's implementation was shoddy and poorly designed. Many Muslim countries such as Malaysia were left out while the ban also affected non-Muslim citizens of the affected countries. Had these concerns been addressed, I would have supported it wholeheartedly.

Second, Muslim ghettos (e.g. Luton, Tower Hamlets, Bradford, Dearborn, Molenbeek, Rinkeby, Malmo, Parisian banlieues) must not be allowed to form in any part of the world and such ghettos must be forcibly dismantled and their inhabitants relocated to other parts of the country in order to expedite their total assimilation into secular, non-Muslim society by living side by side with non-Muslim friends and neighbors and being constantly exposed to non-Muslim, democratic values. There must be no apartheid or segregation, voluntary or otherwise.

Third, Muslim children must attend the same schools as non-Muslims, ideally with non-Muslim students vastly outnumbering their Muslim counterparts. Muslim children must have the values of free speech and democracy thoroughly drummed into their minds from a very early age and they must be taught to grow a thick skin and withstand insults, real or perceived, against their faith or culture without resorting to violence or cancellation. They must be taught to be accepting of non-Muslims, atheists, and LGBT+ people regardless of attempts by irate Muslim parents and Islamist fascists and activists to intimidate teachers and educators into complying with the fascist norms of their countries of origin. They must be taught to treat women with respect. Only then can they hope to apply for citizenship, vote, and run for office.

All religious schools and instruction, especially those relating to Islam, must be either shut down or secularized. Homeschooling parents and guardians must be strictly monitored by social workers to ensure that their children are not exposed to any religious or political indoctrination, especially in Islam or Islamist fascist ideology among other things.

Fourth, the family unit may remain intact, but measures must be taken to protect family members, particularly women and girls who hang out with non-Muslim boyfriends while remaining single, from the threat of honor killings. Ex-Muslim atheists and LGBT+ Muslims must also be offered protection and sanctuary from their own families and communities as appropriate.

Fifth, total de-Islamization and secularization must be aggressively pursued in order to guarantee the safety and security of all human beings of all faiths in every country in the world and guarantee their right to express themselves freely without fear of reprisals from Muslim state or non-state actors. For instance, the azan or Muslim call to prayer must be restricted or banned and the minarets must be silenced by local ordinances and by-laws. There must be a complete separation of Islam and state with no public money going toward the construction and upkeep of mosques, Hajj and umrah pilgrimages to Mecca, etc. Muslims must be forbidden from praying in the middle of the street, clogging up traffic and physically imposing their faith on non-Muslims in the area.

All public servants must be bound by a strict policy of laicite whereby all forms of religious affiliation are banned while on duty. This must apply to all religions, but it must apply especially to Islam. Sharia must be banned and no religious government body or patrol may be established to enforce Islamic norms, particularly against women, homosexuals, apostates, and blasphemers. The full-face veil must be banned except for medical or security reasons, and if possible, the male members of the family of a woman or girl found wearing a full-face veil, or her in-laws, must be prosecuted for domestic abuse.

Sixth, rogue, Islamist NGOs such as the Muslim Brotherhood must be sanctioned and their members investigated and prosecuted for infringing on freedom of expression via direct acts of violent terrorism and indirect acts of transnational repression and intimidation. Their assets must be seized and their criminal enterprises, including syndicates cleverly disguised as legitimate mosques and "community centers" where sermons are ostensibly preached, must be raided and shut down as appropriate. They must be rooted out as the far-right, Islamist infiltrators that they are. Intelligence agencies and police departments should recruit Muslims to inform on other Muslims with a view to protecting both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Seventh, in this globalized world that we live in where anyone can travel anywhere at any time for almost any reason, de-Islamization and secularization must also be extended abroad. This must be a global, coordinated effort led by non-Muslims and their non-woke, liberal Muslim allies. Rogue, non-compliant Muslim governments such as the Islamic Republic of Iran must be aggressively sanctioned and brought to heel for putting all of humanity in grave danger with their far-right ideology of Islamist hate. Muslim countries must be compelled to aggressively secularize their societies or face total, global isolation, such as by banning all Muslim immigration from aforementioned countries and banning all foreign investment in and travel to aforementioned countries. They must be treated the same as Russia post-invasion of Ukraine, or North Korea.

Eighth, while I condemn the genocide of the Uighurs and the Rohingya by the CCP and the Tatmadaw, I now oppose total independence or autonomy for either Xinjiang or Rakhine state. I prefer demographic de-Islamization by means of peaceful, non-Muslim settlement (subsequent to the overthrow of the respective communist and military fascist regimes). The same goes for Judea & Samaria, and Kashmir. Northern Kosovo should be transferred to Serbia due to its ethnic Serb, non-Muslim majority. Non-Muslim self-determination must be upheld and the rights of non-Muslims must be defended at all costs.

All of these measures are necessary in order to prevent a repeat of the stabbing of someone like Salman Rushdie and uphold freedom of expression anywhere and everywhere. All of these measures must be enshrined into national and international law. Fascism must be confronted head-on and rooted out at all costs.
