The Orange Order Map Guide (Retired)

The Basics

The following LinkGoogle Drive Link contains the political climate map and other variations of the current map.

Questions, Concerns, ect can be sent to Zanjact, the current cartographer, via NS telegram

The map is updated every Friday or Saturday, depending on the cartographers schedule, holidays, ect.

Claims

Grey areas on the map are unclaimed, therefore, making it available to you. Sense The Orange Order utilizes the real world map, all normal geographic features are applied. Meaning IRL rivers, oceans, mountain ranges, mineral deposits, and more that are known on earth apply to this map. Take this into account when choosing. Speaking of, how do you know how many claims are available at a time? The number of claims is based upon your given NS nation population. (The main page population, not the RP population.)

  • 1-500M: One Claim

  • 500M-2B: Two Claims

  • 2B+: Three Claims

This is to ensure that nations with alts don't have numerous claims throughout the map and to let smaller, newer nations get the gist of everything before they get a large claim on the map; and are easily conquered by someone named Zanjact. Speaking of Conquering other nations, to do so properly, read below.

Expanding

Expansion is to be done similar to a normal claim. The expansion will certainly be granted if it is your 2nd or 3rd claim, but if it is your 4th, you will have to explain why it is beneficial to RP, and why you need/want to expand into said unclaimed territory. A good example is that if your country has no recourses, but the neighboring empty land does, you need to expand to a rich in (blank) land.

Warfare Expansion

It is vital to read the TOO RP and RMB Rules before expanding via warfare/military means. Any expansion into another nation, whether it be through diplomacy or war, still must be approved by the current cartographer. If the nations included plan to expand, change borders, ect they must message the cartographer a request for it to be approved. It must be agreed upon the loser and victor. Though not required, it's advised that this is planned out before it goes through via RP. Another vital dispatch that should be read is the RP Standardization Act Dispatch.
