Monarchs of the Lusophone Realm
This is a new factbook.
The reason for creating this factbook is to show the monarchs of the Kingdom of Portugal (1139 - 1815), the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves (1815 - 1918), the Portuguese Federal Empire (1918 - 1999) and the Lusophone Commonwealth (1999 - Present).
This being a big empire and built on the base of two states, those been Portugal and Brazil, this factbook will bring every king and queen that ruled the nation with the time that each monarch served.
There are four major dynasties from the period between 1139 to the Present, with an Interregnum between 1383-1385, and in total, having 36 monarchs.
The longuest serving monarch is King João I of the House of Aviz, from 1385 until 1433, resulting in 48 years. The current monarch is Queen Maria IV, having coming to the throne after the sudden death of her father.
I hope you enjoy this factbook, as it took me a while to build it and do the research.
