Our Mission

When you enlist, you deticate yourself to the republic. Our mission is to spread our influence, and protect our allies. For this, we may raid regions. These raided regions may still remain as sovereign as they can be. In the case of allies. Soldiers may be deployed to assist in the defense of the region. We do not wish to cause extreme harm to regions that do not deserve it however.

The Chain of Command

Odrya has a simple chain of command when referring to it's military. There are high command roles, infantry roles, and training roles.

The President: The head of the republic, and head of the ORA. The president has absolute authority over the military, and can overrule any military action if they so choose. They can authorize any operation.

Minister of Defense: The commander of the military. Their orders are followed without question, if needed and available, they can assist in military operations.

General: The people who carry out orders from the higher powers. They are not government members. They have the ability to carry out their own operations if they so choose.

Captain: The rank right below a general. These are people who are essentially generals in training. They have authority on all ranks below them, yet they cannot authorize their own operations without their generals permission.

Sargeant: Higher ranking infantry, and the only members of infantry that have a say in operations. At this point, they can be recommended by a captain or general, to at which point, they can be promoted to captain.

Private First Class: Obtained simply by 3 months of service, or 5 military operations of any kind. These are seasoned soldiers who have a nice level of experience in the ORA. They still are expected to carry out orders without question. From this point on, only a captain, general, defense minister, or president can promote you.

Enlisted: The rank obtained after passing the quiz. These are newly deployed recruits, and are under the supervision of the commanding roles.

Graduated: Simply a role for organization and represents the moments before deployment. You will be promoted to the Enlisted role soon.

Recruit: The role immediately after being accepted into the army. You are not to carry out military operations until you pass a rather simple quiz. After your results are processed, you will be promoted to Enlisted and will await an operation.

Military Basics

When participating in any NationStates military, you will be deployed to a region. So this section will go over a few basics. Do not fear, as it is quite simple. You will need to make an alternative nation, this will make your life way easier, if you have a WA main, resign from the WA on the main and sign up on the alternate, from there you await your next order. Military orders will happen around update times. Update times are at about 5am BST and 5pm BST (depends on the region, but will be within the hour). Raiders need to go into a region and endorse a fellow raider just before the update. After the update, they have delegacy and they can complete the raid after that. The same can be applied to defense, just endorse the original delegate.

How to Enlist

Finally, to enlist you telegram Rogue River, or any other military officer. You will then be given the role of Recruit, and will take a short test. After all is done, you are an official member of the Odryan Republican Army!
