The Vedusa culture is one of only two in Zanforadon that are a sentient plant species. The Vedusa are descendants of a tree species found nearby on the Triplets of Fertility called Xensis trees. When the split happen is still being studied, as both the Xensis trees and a Vedusa's body don't typically fossilized. The Vedusa are known for being able biomerge with other species, allowing to freely change shape if they so desire. A typical biomerge allows the Vedusa to merge with each other or with other sentient species in Zanforadon. The downside of biomerging is that its permanent, as the alteration on the chemical level cannot be undone, causing the two or more consciences to merge together. This phenomenon is called a super conscience. Its rare for the Vedusa to biomerge with people that are non-Vedusa, as most situations of this nature only occur when its medically necessary.
