April 6 Prime Minister Referendum (4/6/22)

A referendum enacted by His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Mohea, King Dylan I, enacted on April 2, 2022, calling for a referendum to be held on April 6, 2022, regarding whether or not the citizens of Mohea want incumbent Prime Minister Paula Brunelle to remain in her position of Prime Minister.

King Dylan I argues that Prime Minister Brunelle was in the wrong to enforce conscription nationwide. He also argues that corruption is at an all time high. Most crucially, however, civil rights are at an all time low, and Geronticide occurred nationwide under her supervision. These being reasons for her ousting.

PM Paula Brunelle (I) argues that she should not be terminated because she claims that the economy has remained very high thanks to her. She also claims mistakes were made in the "accidental" enactment of geronticide in Late March of 2022, but that she should not be at fault for the deaths of at least 2,000 people above the age of 62. She also claims that she has been a great figure head for bringing more transplants and foreign investments to Mohea. These being reasons against her ousting.

If the referendum passes (meaning a majority of citizens vote “YES” when asked the question: Should incumbent Prime Minister Paula Brunelle be ousted from her role as Mohean Prime Minister?, PM Brunelle will be ousted on April 13, 2022 at 13:00 Phonpei Time, and will be succeeded by whomever His Majesty King Dylan I chooses to succeed her.

UPDATE: At 9:54, 4/8/22, the results conclude that a majority of voters, 60% of whom voted, want Brunelle out. The state has formalized the referendum and claims its legitimacy.
Margin: YES to ousting 59.6% -- 40.4% NO to ousting.
