Christmas, a bad time for companies.

Today, The Federative council has passed BP#14, known as the Christmas Act. This Act will force all private companies and organizations to temporarily lay off all low class employees and stop any of their services and production that need said employees from the 19th of December until the end of christmas, they can also choose to lay off middle class employees as well. This Act has been very controversial so far, with many of CEOs complaining about this Act. Iavan Kilū, CEO of Kilū computers, has stated: " This act is garbage, it is absolute bull****! I will never lay off employees for a day, let alone for Christmas!". The Council's reasoning for passing this Act is so that families of these employees can spend their Christmas happily and together.

Explosions Everywhere!
Yesterday, around 27 small explosions, ranging from explosions that caused nothing but sound to explosions that blew up multiple cars, happened in the outskirts of Lasi-stan, in the neighbourhoods of Nork and Lysh, The police department of Lasi-stan has confirmed that none of these explosions were man-made, and suggested that the likely cause was meteor fragments falling from the sky, since they have found several small craters, believed to be caused by these meteor fragments, near the approximate locations of these explosions. though it is unknown what meteor these fragments originate from, since no meteor has fallen near Lasi-stan in the last 30 years, according to databases.

The black market boom
The black market is usually a small factor in a country's economy, but recent estimates say that Berusturg's black market has gone up by a significant amount, going from an estimated 12 billion Beruses to almost 80 billion Beruses. Most experts say this jump was caused by the sudden move of the government to increase the wealth gap, though it is expected for this boom to slowly die down to a normal amount.

Meteor Frenzy
After 2 weeks of waiting, the police department of Lasi-Stan released their report on the meteor crashes that happened in the outskirts of the city back in December. They concluded that the meteor in question was HP-146, which according to the report:"entered the atmosphere at around 9:36 AM and turned into several pieces due to atmosphere pressure. of the 342 pieces recovered, 134 entered and exploded in the outskirts of Lasi-Stan." Many meteoriticists disagree with the police's claims, saying that meteor was not close enough to be effected the earth's gravity at the time, and claim that a possible candidate for this incident could be HP-361. the police has not responded to nor accepted these claims as of now.

A new Federative?
Recent government actions may be pointing to a new Federative joining the Federation, as new government owned buildings have been built in the capital and the amount of sits in the Federative council has increased from 450 to 550. All head figures have refused to answer any questions regarding the topic and no leakers have found no evidence of this Federative or its location in any government files.

The crumbling public transport
The government's expenditure have been on a rapid change recently, with notable departments such as defence, administration and education taking most of the spot, but most people are concerned that the public transportation sector might be gone soon, as it only covers 0.6% of expenditure and it hasn't shown any sign of increase since last October. Ilkin Monaj, The former Head of the Federative council, has said this about the issue:"Don't get me wrong, stuff like defense and education are incredibly important, but I believe that public transport is a great replacement for personal vehicles and a great way to save the environment, as such, I request our great king and Kilm Noil to increase the budget for this sector and not let it die out." There have been several protests because of this issue and the Federative council does not seem to be too keen on keeping public transportation around.
