Interregional Defence Pact
What the pact is forThe pact is here to unite smaller regions to help each other against larger nations looking to raid these smaller regions.
Defense or offense
This pact is only for defence unless one region is attacked first then all other regions will be told to come and assist in a counter-attack, this goes for all regions in the pact. Any region that is attacked is to be viewed as an attack on all.
Can any region join
Any region can join, the only rule is that they must protect all other regions in the pact and a region must have at least one WA nation otherwise there is no regulation on who can join the pact.
Any other rules
There is one rule if you join this pact you can not attack any other region in this pact even if they are an enemy because the regions in this pact must be allies. You will also have to obey any commands by the central authority which will be stationed in the Interregional Defence Pact headquarters. It is recommended to send an ambassador to this region to take part in the decision making of the pact. For any new pact law to be passed at least half of the ambassadors must agree.
How to join
If you want to join then just send me a telegram saying how you want to join. I will send you this factbook that you must agree to and then I will list your regions name at the bottom and then you've joined.
The central command
The central command is only the institution that sends out the telegrams when a member region has been attacked, the central command has no authority over your region and if there are any major decisions to be made it will be decided by a poll. It is important to remember that this pact is only for mutual defence and nothing else as this has nothing to do with your domestic affairs. It will be stationed at the Interregional Defence Pact headquarters
What if I want to join but I don't want any obligation to defend regions
Well then you can become an associate of the pact which is a little different to a member of the pact. Now and associate will still share information, communication and other things with the pact which is the same as a member region however the associate has no obligation to defend any member regions but this in turn means that the member regions have no obligation to protect the associate. Now this does not mean that WA nations of member regions can not volunteer to protect an associate should that region need and it also does not mean that associates can't send WA nations to help it just means they don't have to.
Any other ways to join
Yes there is, a region can become a reserve region which means that region would only be called on if the defence pact has no other resources left which means a reserve region does a lot less work however member regions will be prioritised over reserve regions. A region can also be a independent reserve region which is essentially the same thing as a regular reservist however the defence pact headquarters will not manage the independent reserve region and as a result a independent reserve region would be called on even less then a reserve region however a independent reserve region will also be of lower priority then a regular reserve region. You may also become an allied state which is similar to a member state as there is still collective defence and close cooperation however you will not be able to have a say in how the pact is run and it is also important to remember that member and reservist regions will be of a higher priority to the pact.
What if I have more questions
If you have any questions or concerns then send a telegram to Tanoai or Region tanoai.
