Belantic Car Foundry Corp. (BCF)
The Belantic Car Foundry Corp., often shortened to BCF, is a Belantic multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes public transportation vehicles and parts. BCF manufactures buses, trolleybuses, rail coaches, commuter trains, metro trains, light rail vehicles, and traction motors. BCF started in 1881 by Peter Schultz and Robert Connors. The company initially produced metal-wooden rail coaches for now defunct Albany Central Railroad and was one of the first suppliers of subway cars for the capital area's transit system (particularly for the Metropolitan Elevated Railway (MERy) and the Luton Rapid Transit Company (LRT), which merged together along with the Bayshore Rapid Railway (BRR) in 1952 to form the Capital Transit Authority (CTA), a tri-state public transit agency).
LDA Groups sells their products and services under several marques: Lancet, Deckard, Swift, LHD, LD Marine, Prime Mover Division, LD Financial, LD Alternatives, and LD Production.
