Felkethink (W.I.P)
The Felkethink is the national parliament of Fjarrej. It is one of the oldest surviving parliaments of the world, similar to the Icelandic Althing, Faroese Løgting or Manx Tynwald. The Felkethink was founded in 1042 at Lökheyk (”law hill”), situated near the current capital city of Érickshövn. The Felkethink has survived despite efforts to dismantle the institution by Danish rulers. The present parliament building has been in use since 1815, Felkethinkhúsidh. The unicameral parliament has 99 members, and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation. The current speaker of the Felkethink is Ólaf Síkrudson.the Fjareyan Parliament |
