OLAC Internal Dispatch - Know Thy Enemy

BY ORDER OF THE OLAC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR LIMITED INTERNAL RELEASE AS A SUBSET OF PROJECT CORYPHAEUS

FOLIO 18B, SECTOR ETA

ABSTRACT: Continued exploration of available materials pertaining to paranatural methodology and equipment employed by the Federal Bureaucracy of Yegla Islands [AOI #105]. Current focus lies on what is tentatively termed the PCU, or Paranatural Control Unit, and the various implementations, both confirmed and presumed, thereof in vector-spaces of likely intersection with Directorate (and, to a broader extent, Ostruan) interests.

RESPONSIBILITY: Lies primarily with Research Group Fermi, with assistance provided by all available and materiel-relevant subsets of the Directorate.

NOTICE: Due to limited availability of succinct, verified information, this document is unsuitable for use as anything but a general reference.

FOLIO 19A, SECTOR RHO

PARTIAL PATTERN ROSTER

INTERNAL DESIGNATION: EX01

BUREAUCRACY DESIGNATION: "Svarog"

FORMAT: Modular inlay for UYDF infantry-pattern exoskeleton frames. Externally difficult to discern, especially on heavily-armored or otherwise modulated frames. Does not appear to have any auxiliary components. Mass is minimal (presumed), within the context of UYDF exoskeleton frame modules. Does not appear to hinder physical performance of the wielder, though this may also stem from the naturally stress-reducing nature of the platform it is mounted on.

AMMUNITION/FEEDSTOCK: Cartridges of either variable size or featuring snap-together modularity. None have been recovered thus far.

CAPABILITIES: Appear reduced in comparison to certain heavier variants, though it must be stressed that a lack of overt ballistic capabilities does not necessarily equate to threat reduction. Notable recorded feats include:
⠀● Firing of explosive projectiles of varying yields. Highest confirmed yield appeared approximately equal to that of a typical HE hand grenade.
⠀● Creation of variably-corporeal pseudo-armor for the protection of both personnel and vehicles.
⠀● Interference with ballistic trajectories and/or accuracy of fire - extent and methodology unclear.
⠀● Extrasensory capabilities (unconfirmed, extent and methodology unclear).
⠀● Wound treatment through unclear, presumably paranatural means.

AVAILABILITY: Extensive. Appears neither especially costly to manufacture, nor a particularly heavily-guarded secret (not that this is especially helpful, given the extensive difficulty of obtaining reliable information regarding any Bureaucracy materiel). Primary issue-bracket appears to consist of support troops, typically scattered through existing formations.

INTERNAL DESIGNATION: EX02

BUREAUCRACY DESIGNATION: "Zhiva"

FORMAT: Handheld device vaguely resembling a cannon, albeit fitted with an exceedingly bulky barrel-shroud. Appears to be borderline unusable without heavy exosuit support, likely due to extensive mass and bulk. Suit-integrated targeting likely, implying at least some usage of auxiliary support components not integrated into the device itself.

AMMUNITION/FEEDSTOCK: Drum-like cartridges of considerable heft. Appear to be uniform in size - that is, no variation therein has ever been conclusively recorded.

CAPABILITIES: Considerable. Seemingly possessive of a wide variety of destructive uses. Notable recorded feats include:

⠀● Firing of explosive projectiles of varying yields. Highest confirmed yield appeared approximately equal to that of a typical cruise missile.
⠀● Creation of apparently sourceless force-vectors, powerful enough to inflict grievous damage to armored vehicles and structures.
⠀● Thermokinesis (unconfirmed - veracity of reports may have been compromised by external factors, including unconventional weather patterns and use of mundane thermobaric explosives. If factual, scope and mechanism unclear).
⠀● Gravikinesis (unconfirmed, borderline-impossible to accurately record and/or verify given current equipment standards)
⠀● Creation of hovering, semi-corporeal obstructions in order to intercept fire or otherwise provide cover.
⠀● Cadaver animation (unconfirmed, may be confined to as-of-yet unidentified special forces subgroup if factual)

AVAILABILITY: Extensive, though still less widespread than EX01. Issuing limits appear to be tied more closely to auxilliary equipment required for effective use, and the troops to which it is issued (more specifically, the heavier grade of exoskeletal support required, and its predominant usage by heavy breakthrough infantry), than any actual manufacturing or resource constraints.

INTERNAL DESIGNATION: EX03

BUREAUCRACY DESIGNATION: Either "Shubin" or "Gorynich" - designations may be interchangeable, or may refer to differing patterns of device.

FORMAT: Exact setup unknown, and largely undocumented. Navally-mounted, presumed to be connected to deckborne apparatus of unclear appearance and purpose.

AMMUNITION/FEEDSTOCK: Unknown, but presumed to be reactor-parallel.

CAPABILITIES: Considerable enough to merit potential classification as weapons of mass destruction. Notable recorded feats include:

⠀● Firing of explosive projectiles of varying yields. Highest confirmed yield appeared approximately equal to that of a medium-yield thermonuclear explosive, though without the radiological consequences of such.
⠀● Variable-scale hydrokinesis. Primary uses appear to be the creation of aquatic hazards and sonar interference.
⠀● Self-acceleration. May be linked to hydrokinetic capabilities, or a separate phenomenon entirely.
⠀● Projection of a broad-spectrum radiation beam over potentially thousands of kilometers, with minimal scattering. Focusing method unclear, yield presumed to be in the petawatts.
⠀● Augmentation of durability through as-of-yet undetermined means.
⠀● Long-range disintegration of solid matter through as-of-yet undetermined means.

AVAILABILITY: Limited. Due to apparent conspicuousness of full-scale deployment, it may be reasonably assumed that such deployment has only been carried out once within the surveillance timeframe. What degree of bearing manufacturing and resource costs may have on this infrequent deployment-schedule is unknown. For further information on the single confirmed deployment-instance, please refer to Folio 26A, alongside any auxilliary materials pertaining to the Tandé Incident.

INTERNAL DESIGNATION: EX04

BUREAUCRACY DESIGNATION: Unknown

FORMAT: Almost wholly unknown. May not have a concrete physical form at all, though this would stray outside typical assumptions with regards to the Bureaucracy's technological and paratechnological capabilities. Outlier description is that of a large, vaguely coffin-esque box - while only one account of such an appearance exists, the circumstances surrounding it lend it some degree of credibility. For futher information, please refer to [FOLIO REFERENCE UNAVAILABLE].

AMMUNITION/FEEDSTOCK: Unknown.

CAPABILITIES: Almost wholly unknown. Sources of questional reliability point towards the capacity for more nuanced, extraspatial avenues of manipulation than previously-encountered systems, though such claims cannot be verified. No concrete feats or capabilities exist within the clearance-band pertaining to this document and those involved in its creation.

AVAILABILITY: Presumed to be highly limited. While next to nothing concrete is known with regards to the system in question, its existence may be inferred from sources linked to [PROJECT REFERENCE UNAVAILABLE]. Tenuously linked to the UYP's Commissariat, and thus presumably utilized by agents thereof.

NOTICE: Potential tampering with regards to this section of the document has been noted and logged. Please be cautious in your usage of any information gathered or derived from this section of the document, as its current veracity, clearance-band and source documentation may not be verified at present. Please consult the nearest available administrator if this problem persists.
