Code of Conduct Bureau

CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU 03/09/2020

1. Establishes a Code of Conduct Bureau for The Slide Countries
2. (a)The purpose of the Code of Conduct Bureau is to maintain a high standard of morality in the conduct of regional government affairs, and to ensure that the actions and behaviors of regional officers conform to the highest standards of morality and accountability.

(b) The Code of Conduct Bureau shall act as a sister institution to the Slides Court.

3. (a)The Code of Conduct Bureau shall consist of the following members;
(i)A Chair and
(ii) two other members,
Each of whom must be persons of high integrity and will be appointed by Aussandries, on the advice of the President.

(b) The members may be the same people heading the Slides Court

4. The Code of Conduct Bureau shall have the power to-

(a)ensure compliance
(b)receive complaints about non-compliance or breach of the Code of Conduct or any law in relation thereto, investigate the complaint and, where appropriate, refer such matter to the Slides Court.
(c)dismiss and exercise disciplinary control over the members of the Code of Conduct Bureau for any misconduct, in accordance with the provisions of an act of the Assembly enacted in that behalf; and
(d)carry out such other functions as may be conferred upon it by the Assembly.

5. (a) Code of Conduct for regional officers

    (i) An officer shall not put himself in a position where his personal interest and ideology conflict with his duties and responsibilities.
    (ii) An officer shall not release classified information (eg passwords) to others who shouldn’t be aware of it.
    (iii) An officer shall not do or direct to be done, in abuse of his office, any act contrary to the laws of The Slide Countries.
    (iv) An officer shall not secretly belong to or communicate with any region which is rejected and considered as an enemy of The Slide Countries.
    (v) An officer shall not involve himself in any form of activity that threatens the security and sovereignty of The Slide Countries.

6. Any allegation that an officer has committed a breach of or has not complied with the Codes stated in 5 (a) shall be reported to the Code of Conduct Bureau. The CCB will then continue with the procedures stated in 4 (b)
7. (a)The tenure of the members of the Code of Conduct Bureau expires after two months from the appointment and will either be replaced or renewed.

(b) A member of the Code of Conduct Bureau shall not be removed before the expiration of his term by the President except upon an address supported by two-third majority of the Assembly, supporting that he be so removed for inability to discharge his duties or for misconduct or for contravention of this Code.

(c) A Code of Conduct Bureau member who also hold a position at the Slides Court will have his post removed separately, that is, if he is removed as a CCB member, it won't automatically strip off his role in the Slides Court.
