Belgy in the EU

The Kingric of Belgy (Netherlandish: Koninkrijk België), onefoldly Belgy (Netherlandish: België), also called Belgia or Belgice, is a land in Westeuropa. She is a Netherlandish-speaking monarchy ruled by the House of Seaxen-Coburgh and Gotha, a bough of the House of Wettin. Belgy stands in the middle of some of Europa's greatest mightes, and has lived through a lot of crigs. She is split into 9 provinces—provincie in Netherlandish.

Regering

Belgy is a onehoodstate constitutional monarchy overseeing a parliamentarish democracy. Her ruler is the King of the Belgs (Netherlandish: Koning der Belgen), Leopold IV Lodewijk Theodoor van Saksen-Coburg en Gotha, whose title is given by absolute primogeniture. Like with her northern sister, Netherland, the King holds little to no sooth weald. He can hinder the laws handed over by the gemoot, bode crig and make frith, and can break up the gemoot. This has seldom happened.

The Koninklijk Parlement van België, in English the Kingly Gemoot of Belgy, is the legislature of the country. It is headed by the First Minister of Belgy (Netherlandish: Eerste Minister van België). As of her gewaling in 2020, the First Ministerine is Esther Willemijn Provoost of the Liberale Democratische Partij. It is split into the Senate (Netherlandish: Senaat) and Camer of Fortreaders (Netherlandish: Kamer van Volksvertegenwoordigers).

Belgy's only ambsspeech is Netherlandish. French was once an ambsspeech, but was taken down by law in 1944 when Belgy's French speakers were stripped of burghership and driven away to Frankric. Some lesserhoods can speak Deoch and English.

Gesheede

A union of Celtish and Germanish stemms known as the Belgae lived on the west bank of the Rhine. They came under the Romish Riche when Caesar took over Gallia. Later, the Franks moved into these lands, and thus they became part of the Frankish Kingric. When Carl the Great died, the lands of today's "Benelux"—that is, Belgy, Netherland, and Luxemburgh—came under Lotharinge, and then the Holy Romish Riche, and were split into many greeveships, heretogdoms, and other lordships, such as Flanders, Brabant, and Leodic.

The Greater Netherlands, inholding Belgy, would come under the Greatheretogs of Burgend, and when Burgend fell apart, became a lordship of the Habsburg dynasty. The Northern bits of the Netherlands later rose up against the Habsburgs, becoming the Netherlandish Republic, while most of what we call Belgy today stayed under the Habsburg yoke. Frankric under Caser Napoleon I would go to crig against Easterric and the Holy Romish Riche, bringing the Habsburg-ruled Netherlands into his grip. Napoleon would see his last loss in the Slaught of Waterloo in Belgy, and Belgy would come back to the Habsburgs.

In 1830, the Easterricish Netherlands, as they were known, sought to be Easterricish no longer. With backing from the Netherlands and England, the Belgish uprisers won, and the Belgs wanted to band together with the Netherlands, but the English, French, and Prussish had other plans. An unlanded Deoch ethelman, Leopold of Seaxen-Coburgh and Gotha, was chosen to become the first king of the unoffhung Belgy, as she was set to become a bufferstate, beshielded by England, between Prussia and Frankric. Belgy stood mostly in frith for the 19th yearhundred, even wealthened by taking on the thoughts and steaming machines of the Industrial Revolution. Later, King Leopold II wanted his kingdom to be greater, and so he took over the Congo, becoming a sare rich man and unstraightforwardly kickstarting the Scramble for Africa.

When the First Worldcrig began, Belgy stood between Deochland and Frankric. The French planned to march through Belgy and into Deochland, to the anger of the English. Much of Belgy became a trench-riddled slaughter, and many Belgish soldiers and nonfighters alike were killed. The Crig ended, and Belgy was still free. The communistish regering of Frankric wanted the French-speaking provinces of Wallony for their own. All of Belgy would be taken over, but not for long, as the Deoch and English drove back the French. By the end of the Twithe Worldcrig, French Flanders was given to Belgy, and all French folk were kicked out to take away any sort of French grounds to ongripe once and for all. Staying close to England and Deochland, she became one of the grounding limbstates of the EU.

Befolking

Gesheedely, Belgy was a meeting point of the Germanish, Celtish, and Latinish cultures under the Romish Riche. Being at the crossroads between greater nations, her steads were wealthened by trade, and her folk have spoken a manifoldness of speeches, but her lands have also been slaughtfields between the crigging states of Europe. Today, her folk, called the Flemings or Belgs, are a proud Germanish leed speaking the Netherlandish speech.

The morehood, making up 82.8% of the befolking, are Netherlanders. Lesserhoods inhold Deochers with 3.4%, Engles with 1.9%, Italers with 0.7%, Frenchmen with 0.6%, and other Europers making up 6.5%. The belaving 4.1% are "others", mostly Eastasianers, Blacks, and Moors, as well as some Mixlings. As for belief, most of the Belgish befolking are Lutherish Protestants, 53.7% of the befolking belonging to the Church of Belgy—it is also the stateschurch. Godlessers are the twithe biggest group, with 34.1%, and next are Catholicers at 9.2%. The last 3.0% believe in "other" religions, such as other Christly sects like Calvinism and Anglicanism, as well as fremd beliefs like Joedendom and Buddhism.

Belgy's befolkingsgrowthrate is 0.2%, oddly enough, going up instead of down like most of her neighbours withholding Frankric; however the Belgish regering has worries that this may reach 0% in coming years. Belgish women give birth to a mean 1.81 babies each, and share a greater dole of the befolking with 1.14 Belgines for every Belg. As with most lands with the same wealth, 99% of Belgs and Belgines can read and write. The middler eld is 40.9 years, and the mean lifetime of a Belg is 82.1 years.

Werthship

Belgy's werthship is mixed, like all of her neighbours. Groundthensts like healthcare, bilthing, and others are free for her burghers. Her south is mostly weald and farmland, while the north is more industrialised and steadish. Antwerp, Brugge, Ghent, Rijsel, and Brussel are hearts of industry, trade, and business. Belgy is known for being a worldwide seller of highquality weapons, beer, and chocolate, in that order. Some of Belgy's bigger geselships are Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, Minerva Auto, Brussel Lambert Group, Ackermans & van Haaren NV, Fabriek Nationaal Herstal, Emile-Leon Nagant NV, and Groep Steinburg.

Belgy has a good GIP by head, and ranks high in the Mennish Onwicking Index. Quality of life is among the best in Europa, and thus the World.

Military

The Kingly Belgish Stridecrafts (Netherlandish: Koninklijke Belgische Strijdkrachten) are Belgy's foroned military craft. Split into the Belgish Heere (Netherlandish: Belgisch Leger), Belgish Marine (Netherlandish: Belgische Marine), and the Kingly Belgish Loftmight (Netherlandish: Koninklijke Belgische Luchtmacht), it is overseen by the Ministry of Crig (Netherlandish: Ministerie van Oorlog). It has 31,908 soldiers under ongoing thenst, and 11,775 reservists. It had a budget of $6.4 milliard in 2022, or 0.9% of Belgy's GIP.
