DEFCON Levels of Grand Abaco (Outdated)

The defense readiness condition (DEFCON) is an alert state used by the Grand Abacoan Armed Forces. The DEFCON level is controlled primarily by the acting president and the Secretary of Defense through the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Combatant Commanders; each DEFCON level defines specific security, activation and response scenarios for the personnel in question.

DEFCON V (DEFCON Five)[current]
Exercise Term: City of Sun
The lowest state of readiness. The military conducts little or no operations, a state of peace.

DEFCON IV (DEFCON Four)
Exercise Term: Eyes in the Dark
Above average and increased intelligence watch and strengthened security measures. The military conducts satellite and areal observation upon members of aggression. Armed security upon coastal zones and entry points into Grand Abaco. Naval fleets go worldwide, able to transport and attack in case of further levels.

DEFCON III (DEFCON Three)
Exercise Term: Sterling Statue
Increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness. The military can respond within 60 minutes and air crafts preform constant flights world-wide. Borders are restricted and public aviation limited. GRANDS is turned on and a national state or readiness is informed for all civilians.

DECFON II (DEFCON Two)
Exercise Term: Iron Wings
At war, conventional or next step to a nuclear war. Flights preform attacks or sorties near or over enemy territory. Enemy vessels are shelled using GRANDS and citizens are warned to start preparing for the implementation of Operation Safehouse

DEFCON I (DEFCON One)
Exercise Term: Daybreak
Nuclear war imminent. Operation Safehouse is implemented and all civilians and people's are evacuated to nuclear bunkers before an attack. All Grand Abacoan forces attack major centers of government against the enemy power.

DEFCON Nihil (DEFCON Zero)
Exercise Term: Concrete Cradle
Grand Abaco has been lost or it has suffered a nuclear attack. All bridges, ports, airports and strips are destroyed and the Grand Abacoan Government goes underground.
