Leon "Junkyard Dog" Brown, Mobster Terror of Talitoa and Tomagod.

Leon was the worst mobster around when the Conservative Revolution of the 80's were going on. Corruption was a specialty, staying in the backpockets of the politicians and police alike. Some people think the police was a puppet force of Leon Brown. Talitoa was a playground were illegal items made the rounds, people transferred, and animals packaged off. Really, Leon dabbled in seemingly every illegal business that could ever exist. Leon though wasn't always the powerful mobster king to the Talitoan Crime throne of the 80's.

Leon "Junkyard Dog" Brown was born in the city of Zanger on the 12th of January, 1960 to a small poor family. Leon would be bullied for his impoverished life he led, but a child named Quathy Drake helped him to go on through the pain (till she moved). The bullying and losing the only friend he had made Leon into a bully himself. The problem was Leon was skinny and frail from poverty, so he wasn't able to get his anger out, so ideas to delegate bullying to other people was something he thought about. July 8th, 1968 was the day he opened a business that sold etched cans and other junk items from the garbage around his home. Wanting revenge on the school children, he hired children from other schools and started to practice his charisma by paying a special teacher. Overtime Leon took over the school and started to make money on stealing money. But Leon wouldn't be in Zanger for long, as a mobster caught his attention.

Tomagod boss Jim Salzor "The Human Liquidator" (for his efficiency of liquidating bodies) of the Talitoan Friends saw great potential in the young Leon. Jim was in Zanger for business and sent his "sons" into the local schools looking for recruits. One of his agents got into his hideout and saw the ways he did business and told the boss. Jim immediately sought Leon and managed to get him to become a protégé at the age of 13 in 1973. His parents got told thier son became a part of a university for his business ventures. So Leons first job was a test trial and learning tool of a post at a very easy street called Browers Street with drugs. Years of dedicated service going from drugs, to alcohol in Very Drive, to weapons in 12th Road, and even sweatshop overseeing in Wrather Street. Leon found himself rising up the ranks until he became the second hand man to Jim in 1977 at 17. Risk was coming to Leon's power though with his biggest obstacle.

When Jim Salzor "The Human Liquidator" died in 1978 to a heart attack, Leon found himself fighting for control of the mob. Factions against Leon have been formed ever since he came to the mob that finally popped with Jim Salzors death. More branches of Jim Salzar's mob were started in almost every city by the time of his death, and they all seemed to want power over the entire mob, causing a bit of infighting. The center HQ had other people looking for their lucrative slice of the profit and wanted to rise in rank themselves. Police meanwhile had an easier time finding small bases and members with the infighting. Leon would use his charisma and his smarts to ally himself with the lackeys of the leaders, convincing weaker leaders to follow him, stealing customers away from rivals with better deals, and finding ways to finger rivals saving his own skin. It took two years to reunite the mob into a more united and loyal unit to Leon, just in time for a massive shakeup in Talitoa.

The Conservative Revolution that started around the 12th of Dec. 1980 allowed the new Talitoan Friends to prosper, with plenty of bribery. Leon consolidated his grip all over the country with a youthful energy being 20. Dozens of gangs were absorbed, protesters were shot and killed, police and politicians put under pocket, companies robbed, and new markets opened up. The crime business was good for Leon and the Talitoan Friends with the money growing out of nowhere. Trading with Mary Black Jack made his business international and brought even more money in. Though, three events would help Leon reach the credibility and power to make him (along with the Conservative Revolutions opportunities) the most dangerous and powerful criminal king in Talitoa

Leon got together with an old friend (Quathy Drake) shortly after the elections of 1980. Leon was beginning to get curious about an old friend once everything was stable, so he sent out some informants to find out what happened to Quathy. Originally, Quathy was a graduate in Takkatok General University in finances and business trying to look for a job. Leon saw the potential in Quathy and forged a document for work opportunities in Vanderbuck Money Management (old cover from Jim Salzor). Quathy took the job and started to realize the truth of the company, but came to ignore the crimes happening around her in desperation. Quathy would be a good partner helping the business expand, as Quathy was not only good with money, she also found out she could fudge numbers. Her money sense and Leons criminal ability allowed them to open a very special cover operation. This cover operation was a package delivery service called New Pack-age, not only excepting legitimate packages, but also delivering whatever needed to be sent. Leon and Quathy fell in love so fast they married in February 19th, 1981. Leon's other event would be in a junkyard

Leon was in a junkyard (Treasure Peaks) with some henchmen looking for a rival gang's hideout (Fools Gold) in August 23rd, 1981. A Junkyard Dog was roaming the piles of trash looking for intruders. The smell of Leon and co led the dog to almost brutalize the gang, before Leon threw some meat at it (just in case). This particular dog was starved by the gang that owned the place and happily took the meat. Before his eyes he pacified the dog along with some charm. Other dogs in the area were pacified by these same methods. This horde of dogs gave Leon an idea on how to kill the rival faction. The dogs now happy to help their new master after some coaxing, revealed the entrance to their old masters secret base. The dogs also found a special machine that expunged the methane from the inside (methane is a very deadly gas that can come from garbage, explodes with a heat source). A small exploding bomb was put into the machine, to be remotely detonated. A spy was sent to the landfill, fabricated evidence the landfill was to be cleaned soon, and bribed the landfill to help. Fools Gold bought it and tried to clean up the evidence disguised as cleaners. Unfortunately for them, the bomb went off and killed the boss and almost every gang member. All other Fools Gold members quickly became part of the gang after putting the pieces together. Seeing the poor state the dogs were left in and the usefulness they poised made Leon think of ways to use them, all the while sympathizing with the dogs. This new found love for dogs made Leon decide to open 2 new cover businesses (Consolidated Holdings Corp. and Cleaners Waste Management). The landfills under Cleaners Waste Management became a place where his dogs where fed well by their chefs food and the bodies of enemies/debtors. Junkyard dog stuck on for his love of the dogs there and the brutality he has with enemies earned him the nickname from contemporaries and rivals "The Junkyard Dog." All they needed was a spy organizer, and they found one right on the street.

Nathaniel "Back-eyes" Schmaltz would become one of Leon's greatest assets. Nathaniel himself was a beggar on the streets of Tomagod, but was a dispenser and hander out of information, a man who knew everything going on in Tomagod. Nathaniel himself was used mostly for finding out information on other gangs in exchange for drugs. Leon would manage to coax Nathaniel with premium drugs on November 13th, 1981, sent him to a rehab center, and cleaned him up in six months into May 1982. Nathaniel was a spy for the C.I.A thrugh the late 70's, until he was kicked out for drug abuse. Leon, helping out a potential criminal partner, helped to clear Nathaniel's name and got him to join the gang. The infamous spy ring and information gathering of the Talitoan Friends was mostly done by Nathaniels brilliant spy work and orginizational prowess. Many crimes have been committed by Leon during his time as boss. The Talitoan Friends and Leon's crimes are many, these are the most memorable ones in sequential order.

The first few crimes Leon did when he became head of the reunited Friends of Talitoa was building upon government connections, the Trading with Mary Black Jack,

An important crime was to rob and break the rival gang Donlough Associates. The Donlough Associates were the first native crime family on Oct. 1st 1963, their illegal business was sweatshop bootlegs, poaching, and a side of drugs that made them the richest criminal gang. The same Donlough Associates were muscling in on their turf and profits ever since Jim Salzor died. Leon needed to find a way to rid himself of the gang. Leon needed to get Donlough aligned police departments to arrest the gang. Though a plan like this would have the pitfalls of finding out how to change entire police departments minds while also not making it trace back to the Talitoan Friends. This plan of action would require, blowing up and sabotaging Donlough business, stopping the cash flow, protecting police from Donlough aggression, and managing to work with the corrupt government to help destroy Donlough Associates. The first part of the plan happened around July of 1982, with Nathaniel's green spy ring ready to be tested.

Nathaniel would find out through an alias and from kidnapping a high ranking member of Donlough Associates, the location of thier most profitable factories. With "new recruits" in tow to work at these factories, bombs were secretly planted and money stolen. The blame would be placed on another gang called the Fixers (A gang of "house fixers" notorious for robbery and blowing up buildings). With a gang war between the two gangs, Nathaniel was able to distract the Donlough Associates long enough to gather witnesses and to turn Donlough aligned Police against their old masters. The case would be settled in a suspiciously small amount of time (thanks to bribes) and much of the Donlogh Associates were later jailed and died under mysterious circumstances (assasinated by Leon). Those that weren't jailed ended up being folded into the Talitoan Friends to remain alive.

With the Donlough Associates gone, the Talitoan Friends moved into their illegal animal and game fixing trades. The biggest scandal involved with the Talitoan Friends and Game fixing was when they fixed the Conoton Courier and the Xiagrad Yeti's game in 1986. It was the secound game, and the rematch game was coming in. The Conoton Couriers had lost the last time, and it was thought that they wouldn't win the rematch. The Talitoan Friends knew the Couriers would be desperate for a chance to go past the first two rounds, as the Couriers have never gone past two rounds in the game. The Talitoan Friends were right when the Conoton Couriers came to their feet and asked for help. The Xiagrad Yeti's soon found thier star players sick with some players scared to do thier best. Meddling in the rematch helped the Couriers win the game. With the meddling past the team, they were ready to go against the Millian Monsters. Charges of meddling took the wind out of sails and got the Conoton Couriers spending ten-million in damages with head coach Ted Yonderson arrested with collusion and cheating. The Talitoan Friends made off with 100 million after many gamblers lost thier bets thinking the Couriers were gonna lose. The illegal animal trade was profitable as well with people all over the world wanting Talitoa's bounty for pets, medicine, and parts including antlers, ivory, and eyes. Luckily the Talitoan Friends had a environmental focus, not because they truly cared for the environment, but because they knew they could keep the racket going for longer. Crimes made in collusion with the government of the 80's was a beneficial relationship for both.

The main thing the Talitoan Friends did with the government was the disappearance of activists and "criminals" against the government. With a gang of mobsters on thier side, the government could keep thier hands clean of accusation and blame, while the mobsters got to keep Talitoa in a relative state of instability and reap the profit that came with. Some of the people disappeared on behalf of the government include Karol Geria, Frank Brodrick, Zara Teri, and James Smith. Karol Geria was a politician running for election in Talitoa City for its city council in July 1987, a influential social worker who if elected, could draw more people to vote for the Oarfish-Bear party she was apart of. Karol wasn't seen again until Roch Credit Union on 34rth Way did some renovations, and found Karol within the wall. James Smith was more a muck-racker, a crack journalist who was among the early opponents to the party, all the way back in 1979. James most popular piece was a expose on The Talitoan Moral Front's party despotism and corruption that was part of the backbone of early criticism of the TMFP written in 1981. James invariably with his outspoken demeaner and journalistic skills, would find himself on the hitlist of the TMFP. It was the first test for Leon assigned by the government if he could disappear people without people suspecting the government. Unfortunetly for James, the Talitoan Friends were able to track him, lob his head off in the safehouse he was in, and buried him in a mud flat outside Zanger (the body would be found would later be found around 2001, when a search team was looking for a sunken ship). Frank was more of a strike and protest leader, with a knack for gathering people with his sympathetic and down to earth speeches. Frank and his team were able to make strikes and protests that made passing laws such as the "Voting In Style Act" (which would've made people have to come to the polls to vote) and the "Garbage Call Act" (which would've allowed allowed the government to restrict free speech more). While the government wanted Frank gone, Frank knew when the going was good and exiled himself to Zuckchiva. The Talitoan Friends however found Frank livng under his assumed name and made fertilizer out of his corpse in 1988 (later found when someone in Zuckchiva was gardening outside. Zara was excellent in the art of sabotage. It was said that Zara could sabotage a truck while someone was still driving, and they'd not notice. Zara was caught trying to save James, and being a target herself, she was thrown off a building with a note making it seem like suicide after being beat by Nathanial "Black-Eyes". There were problems with trying Elizabeth Quarn.

The campaign and eventual win Elizabeth Quarn made in Tomagod was a massive defeat to that Talitoan friends image and eventually thier power. Elizabeth was a unprecedented candidate in the 1985 election for mayor of Tomagod, a candidate that quickly became a friend to the people of Tomagod. The charisma, warmth, kindness, and vision made Elizabeth the choice of mayor. The government didn't even need to tell the Talitoan friends to go after Elizabeth, the audacity of such a politician in the seat of the Talitoan Friends power and playground was enough to go after her. Attempts at assassinating Elizabeth (tried at a speach, though , taking down fliers and ads, and harassing supporters in a general fear campaign. All the Talitoan Friends did was making Elizabeth even more popular. With normal means out of the window, the population of Tomagod took to guerilla advertising and speeches. While the Talitoan Friends were a big gang, all the work people were doing to get Elizabeth to office stretched the gangs operations. The Talitoan Friends soon found themselves with a PR nightmare as news spread outside the city of Tomagod with no way to censer it, while people all over the country brought thier stories out. It became incredibly harder to get rid of political opponents and antigovernmental advocates. Though the Talitoan Friends became pariahs in Talitoa, they still held thier peak power. The upcoming Liberal Revolution would come in and break thier power a few years later.

It wasn't a good time for the Talitoan Friends after the election of Jeremy Kirth in Dec. 12, 1990. Jeremy and his party the Talitoan Betterment Party with help from a populace eager for justice, international nations, and tech. from Stellar Colonies (which helped the most), would break corrupt ties and fix the nation. In this environment of radical reform and change, Leon quickly became aware he was going to be arrested without government assistance. Leon had already lost some of his own men to government task forces trying to assassinate Jeremy at a victory speech. In a night that remains in infamy "The St. Patrick Day Massacre", Leon would kill around 20 of his own members on St. Patricks Day 1991 to protect himself (set up a trap where he got suspected informants to come to a St. Patricks Day dinner in his home, they were all shot by silenced pistols). His own friend Nathanial "Black-Eyes" Schmaltz would be killed by Leon to keep secrets. Unfortunately for Leon, the police and government forces where right on his tail, and Leon got desperate. As a last ditch effort to not be caught by the new government, Leon made a dash for the city of Fargo so he could run to friendly waters with his wife Quathy Drake and his favorite pooch Leonidas. The rest of the Talitoan Friends without thier leaders would crumble and be easy pickings for government forces and police alike.

The car Leon drove was a El Dorado and started driving away from Tomagod on the 19th of March. The car while an El Dorado, was made to blend in with traffic. Search parties and police looked up and down the whole nation to try and find Leon. Leon though stayed on the main road and was disguised. To keep from being seen, he slept in his car to avoid hotels and went in bottles when he had to go to the bathroom. Though several detours were made whenever people recognized him and he had to cover his tracks, extending his flight from three days to twenty-three days. Leon made it to Fargo on the 11 of April, and was able to catch a friend at the docks. Police were waiting for Leon and managed to tranq him before he could get on the boat. Quathy, Leon, and the friend were arrested and were brought to trial in the local court in Faroe. Leon would be made to answer for his crimes in the 9th District Court in Faroe on the 19th April, 1991.

Leon's trial would be a quick, four day affair. The evidence was too great against Leon, haven been collected since the year 1985 and from testimony of his criminal acts going all the way back to 1973. While Leon had money to hire a good lawyer from prestigious law firm Alex, Brodrick, and Shale, the evidence was too great. Impassioned testimony from victims, recovered documents from Leons base, informants, and old government records made the body of the evidence. His parents were informed of thier son, and reportedly cried, when they compared a picture of young Leon with a mugshot after his arrest. Leon's parents would be among the audience when the guilty sentence was dropped on the 23rd of April (Leon had many, many charges that stuck, the biggest one was thousands of counts of murder carried out by Leon), Leon would be sentenced to life imprisonment (since there was no death penalty). Quathy would be given the same penalty as her husband. Leon would find himself in Tango Maximum Security Prison on Larengo Island near the city of Zanger, Quathy would be sent to East Ridge Maximum Security in Voclod.

The final three weeks of Leon would be spent in Tango Maximum Security Prison. While prisons in Talitoa help prisoners rehabilitate, Leon had to be put in a special big cell at first so the other inmates wouldn't kill him (many in the prison had worked in the Talitoan Friends, and where mad he had left them to the police and the gang leaders he killed). He would write to Quathy in East Ridge, sad that they were taken apart from each other. Leon would usually look at the news, looking melancholy at a nation he used to inspire fear in, with many reforms being done and corrupt government officials being arrested. On the 14th of May, Leon was allowed some time in the yard, when he was called up because he had a visitor. The visitor wan't anyone he knew, it was Lacy Orig, the wife of a Mat Orig jealous of all Leon got to do. Lacy snuck in a machine gun and fired at Leon. Leon looked like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone on the floor. Lacy would be arrested for the murder of Leon. Quathy and the dogs of Leon would find a different fate.

Quathy and the dogs found themselves in a interesting predicament. Quathy would be let out of prison eight years later on the 23rd of April, 1999. Quathy would come into a world way more advanced thanks to the Stellar Colonies technology, and would start to write an autobiography A Junkard Dog With Drake on her time with Leon "Junkard Brown" Brown. Quathy would even find herself becoming an advocate against organized crime throughout her life. Today, Quathy still talks against organized crime while enjoying the profits from her autobiography (though some say she doesn't hate organized crime, that she just wants to seem more sympathetic). Leons dogs would be rounded up and put in the pound, where the man eating dogs would be put down by an unknown enemy of Leon. Leonidas would escape the fate of his pack when he was adopted by a historical connoisseur, dying in luxury in a mansion in the year 2003. Leon today is seen as the epitome of Talitoan crime and a figure often replicated in parties, movies, Halloween, and in funny skits. But even in the funniest of media or jokes, Leon Brown's name still brings a shiver while people laugh.
