The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade is an executive ministry that assists the Monarch of the Royal Federation in matters related to the regulation of foreign affairs and foreign trade. The ministry answers to the Monarch and Chief Advisor of the Federation. The Foreign Affairs Ministry is led by a Chief Minister who is considered the head of the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade. The rest of the committee is composed of ten members. All members of the Royal Committee for Foreign Affairs are selected by the Parliament and approved by the Queen, Chief Advisor, and head of the military, and serve until the legal retirement age.
The Committee is responsible for reviewing and voting on every immigration application, embassy applications from foreign nations, and reporting on foreign trade deals before they are sent to the Queen to be ratified. In the case that there is a tie in the vote, they must then break the tie with their own vote or submit the issue to a higher power of the government.
Foreign Policy
Seeking to further a more peaceful and economically prosperous global order, the Federation makes its sincerest attempts to be as transparent as it can with its foreign policy.The fundamental principles guiding the foreign policy of the Empire of Russia can be summarized in the following 4 points.
Defense - We must maintain a credible deterrent military that protects the sovereignty of the Federation
Prosperity - We must work to maintain a free and open multilateral trading system
Reality - Russia has no illusions about the status of small nation relative to the Empire
Loyalty - We stand by our friends who have stood by us in our times of need
Foreign Embassies & Opinion
The Russian Board of Elections organizes a foreign opinion census every quarter for the purposes of allowing the Empire's government to identify evolving public sentiments on foreign relations. The results are made available for the public to view three weeks after the beginning of a given business quarter. Foreign partners are advised to consider that such polls may not be indicative of real trends. Note a percentage of error of 3%.
