Result of the 31st Delegate Election

A total of 26 votes were cast from 30 Dec 2018 to 6 Jan 2019. Each candidate received 13 votes and are tied. The high number of votes is a recent record and probably due to the mass telegrams being sent. At the same time, there was a lot of invalid votes when all the votes were counted.

The counting and verifying of votes after polling is a long-standing practice in Yggdrasil. It's goal is to ensure only votes from WA nations are counted per election rules. Here are two examples:

page=rmb/postid=21644031
page=rmb/postid=25770702

What are valid votes? As a general principle: Only Yggdrasil and Valhalla WA nations could vote, and they need to be in the region and in the WA prior to election starting. The latter is to prevent "electing piling" from external forces. I can explain in greater detail if anyone is interested to know what that means.

For transparency's sake, the table below lists the votes that have been discounted. Admins on the forum (South Titania, Wordy and I) can see who voted for whom, including time stamps and IP addresses.

There are some borderline cases such as Brad's vote that was allowed and counted, even though his WA was not in Yggdrasil.

In the final analysis, invalid votes were found on both candidates. Here is the outcome:
