The agents arrive on the islands

Finding any secrets of their past, specifically to find the origin of the Akilaen people and their crystals which get even more and more mysterious as any bit of information is found. The agents found their first objective increasingly difficult as the Akilaen were never keen on keeping past events..... at all, they have no records of past events. Their job got even harder when the people were somewhat universally defensive and quickly gained suspicion to the point where most of the agents believed they were found out. However their luck ran out when they discoverer that the Akilaen people were interested in past explorers observing them and kept records of the observations that were made on them. These records were obviously copied but they don't appear altered and had a lot of information. It was clear these records were from several different eras and different languages. But some these records were old and some aged horribly and some had dead languages the agents can hardly read. after nearly a decade of translating and reconstruction of the records.

A letter arrives in Washington D.C from the U.S agent on 8-23-1958
it reads

8-13-1958
Progress on gathering the information on the Akilaen has been slow, even with us working together it has been difficult gathering documents. Most of us including me are under suspicion or even found out, but were not being watched, its almost like they don't care, the Akilaen are more mysterious then we thought before we arrived. we have found nothing about official documents as they don't keep track of past events in their history or anything at all. However their interests are strange instead of their history they were invested in the observations of them of past explores and have kept records of their observations. Why they do this is unclear but some of the other agents theories is concerning. But some have aged horribly and others are written in languages that were long dead before the their last rediscovery in 1495. We have summed up the records in pieces of their possible eras.

'pieces of stone were kept in a library by the Akilaen people in an unknown and long dead language but appears to be the origin language of new and old Chinese, badly damaged we've gathered what we could make of it.' these people most likely came from the Bering strait route probably during BC times.'
we couldn't read the stones but drawings were cut in most likely to show things they do not have words for. some show how neutral the people were with the arrivals but most of them were centered around the crystals these people have, some are concerning suggesting that the crystals emit some form of teal light?

'The next oldest records were in more formal writing and on clay, the language is a mix of Latin and Celtic which suggest the Irish were here during the 6th century? These was more translatable but just as badly aged as the Asian rock carvings.'
These told us how the Akilaens were much more open to their arrival and more at ease these were also mainly surrounded the crystals but one clay piece told a concerning story on how one of the natives was injured and the crystal on the necklace of everyone flashed green and everyone nearby started running to the injured before her first scream of pain came out. suggesting the crystals some how have a connection with their carrier and other crystals. Other clay pages suggest their are several types of crystals with different purposes but doesn't explain much of it.

'We have more finer writings on soft metal in a Nordic language which means vikings in the 10th century. The problem with these documents is that the viking weren't exactly explores but raiders and fought with the Akilaens upon discovery'
These metal papers tells us that the almost all of Akilaens fought in unison and with weapons that don't really explain what their are. but the descriptions are "they fought with swords they don't hold but are attached to golden arm guards which glow when a sword of blue fire is revealed that cuts through flesh and bone with the heat of the summer sun and archers of metal on four legs that fire a blue spear that vanishes when it hits us.' their only mention of the crystals from the vikings was they glowed a 'blood' red and looked angry? There were less of these documents which suggest these battles were short and the vikings were pushed out very quickly. (if these weapons are what they say they are the Akilae are more advanced then their letting on)

'These are first on paper but the form of scrolls and in old Chinese in ink which means there from the early 15th century. these are in detail and well preserved'
Although these were more clear they don't give us much, probably because the Akilae were just as secretive as they are now but they went into detail about the colors other found out and an additional one. The teal light which is faint as we see too is normal and mean nothing really, green means something has happens nearby and needs attention, a new one yellow means an event has occurred that affects all of the natives but is unclear if its a positive or negative occurrence, it is also not clear if it means if something needs to be done. these documents don't mention the 'blood red' the vikings recorded which means their probably for war and we think is what 'activated' their mysterious blades and archers. (which we now believe is some sort of canon now but a few of us argue its some kind of vehicle) If that is true the Crystals can be used as some kind of power source? Another thing of the crystals that people in close proximity can 'sense' each other and that they work really well together in almost perfect unison.

'The last entries were several decades after the scrolls that are on flat paper in English our best guess is their during the 16th century.'
These documents are mostly reiterations of previous eras observations with one major difference, unlike the others the Akilae were relatively hostile to the observers and often rude to them. Why their behavior changed is unknown.

This first objective of the operation didn't give us a lot of insight on the Akilae but brings to 2 questions no of us could really answer. Why did they suddenly despise explorers and why did they change their mood again when the UN was made?

We can confirm we've gathered all that we can of their history, were not pleased we couldn't find any origins of the people or the crystals. We couldn't obtain any of the crystals as they make it quite clear their not for us and its even harder as we don't know where they come from. this we'll be the first of few letters as information is hard to gather and to come by as well, the agency we'll most likely be updated on our efforts after every several years. we'll now move on to the next objective to give detailed descriptions of the islands.

however many of other countries agents will be sending their letters with request to throw all our resources to focus on the crystals. I agree with them to an extent but we need more information on the Akilae as the crystals get more strange with every piece of information. I would like us to go as normal with the operation so we can find something that makes sense for once.
