Voting Procedure -- Local Council Election June 2018

Acknowledging that we have more candidates than are allowed in one poll, we'll be voting in staging, similar to that as during the February elections.

[b]The schedule will be as follows[/b]  (all times ET and approximations):

Prelim Round 1: Noon June 24 - Noon June 27
Prelim Round 2: Noon June 27 - Noon June 30 

The 11 candidates with the highest voting percentages (candidate votes/votes in prelim 1 and prelim 2) in [b]both[/b] prelim rounds will advance to the final voting round.

Final Round 1: Noon June 30 - Noon July 2 (first seat declared)
Final Round 2: Noon July 2 - Noon July 5 (second seat declared)
Final Round 3: Noon July 5 - Noon July 8 

If there are ties in the Final Round 1 or Final Round 2, both of the first place finishers will advance.

[b]The selection of candidates was intended to be random and fair.[/b] As such, each candidate was given a number based on when they accepted their nomination. The list was as follows:

Then, a random number set was generated using this site, [url=https://www.random.org/integer-sets/]here[url]. The random number generator was asked to pick 9 numbers between 0 and 17. (If zero is included in the first set, there would be 8 candidates/9 candidates; if zero is not, it will be 9 candidates/8 candidates.)
