Joke Laws Factbook

In addition to its normal law-making process, The Leftist Assembly has a space for a less serious, more satirical kind of political gameplay. The presence of 'Joke Laws', laws intended to be read in an ironic/satirical manner, is to allow a potential space for laws to be created in a funny way while still preserving the supremacy and status of the serious legislation passed by the General Assembly.

Joke Laws are subject to the following legislative process.

1: The Joke Law in question is written, and submitted to the regional message board for public perusal by any member of the public who chooses to do so.
2: The Joke Law is seconded by a presently elected General Assembly member.
3: The Joke Law is required to be supported by a majority of more than fifty percent in the General Assembly to be considered passed.
4: In the event of the General Assembly being unclear as to what constitutes a Joke Law, the Justices shall be asked to provide a majority opinion. The majority opinion of the Justices shall determine whether the law is Joke Law or general law.
