"Ashes to Ashes" The Second Chitz Conflict

The second Chitzeland Conflict was an attempt at a punitive action by the nation of The Parthians and Emperor pudu against New chitzeland and it's allies including the The Black Hand of Nod, Hurtful Thoughts and the other allies who were responsible for the continued rebuilding and existence of West Chitzeland.

The operation originated on the knowledge of the Shah that, contrary to the mistaken belief that the end result of their failed invasion of the western portion of the nation had left the area too destitute and war-torn to recover, outside investment from the occupying powers had allowed the survivors the chance to rebuild their lives and their homes. In belief that the people of Chitzeland and that the nations of Hurtful Thoughts had failed to suffer properly for the thwarting their attempted annexation of the land, the Shah demanded an effort be made to ruin the rebuilding by any and all efforts through political or military means.

The rumors of Black Hand involvement in the region soon gave him all the excuse he needed, using a false flag attack claimed to be by members of the Black Hand, Parthia made ready their arsenal of war once more, with their objective this time to be nothing less than the utter annihilation of West Chitzeland.

------

The opening strike by Parthia was a large scale bombing raid against the Black Hand occupied cities of Chitzeland, nearly the entirety of Parthia's bomber fleet was dispatched in the raid and the level of stealth and surprise meant that Nod interceptors were unable to react until it was far too late, despite heavy Anti-Air defenses the bombers soon reduced most of the Nod held cities to flaming rubble killing millions of civilians, most whom had nothing to do with Nod or the Black Hand at all, most of the coastal cities were destroyed though some of Nod's inland cities were able to mount defense and resistance against the brutal airstrikes but by the end scores of innocents had been killed and Nod was eager to return the favor. The counter attack came by a surprise attack by a Nod Interceptor squadron launched from a concealed airbase, with the bombers running low on fuel they were unable to evade the Mig vengeance that quickly worked to decimate their number, even a dispatch by Parthian aircraft wasn't enough to prevent Nod from wiping out much of the Bomber airfleet, ending any chance at repeating the raids and sending billions of dollars worth of aircraft to the bottom of the sea.

At the eastern border Pudu attempted their own attack with mass cruise missile strikes but defenses and surface to air nuclear missile strikes quickly ended all chances at softening up the eastern border, if Pudu wanted to conquer west Chitzeland they'd have to do it through force of arms.

Parthia itself was not willing to give up just yet, despite the loss of it's bomber fleet they still had a formidable navy that greatly out numbered the Black Hand and Chitze defense forces, even reinforcement from Hurtful Thoughts was unable to even the odds. However Nod harassment raids from heavily armored Monitors soon caused the Parthian naval advance to stall as The Parthians were forced to engage each and every defensive vessel with increasingly heavy armament, including anti-dreadnaught weaponry. It is believed that these difficulties along with the cost of the loss of the bombers is what in the end caused Parthia to stay it's hand and withdraw, however the aftermath still undid nearly all efforts by the Black Hand to rebuild the region and left scores of locals and imported Nod followers dead.

While the offensive failed at ending the Nod control of Chitzeland the destruction of the major cities resulted in countless losses and took off years of effort by the Black Hand to stabilize their influence... leaving much of Chitzeland once more in ashes.
