The Five Armies of the Black Hand

The passing of time and the growth of strength has caused the Black Hand to be divided into a ever shifting force as environmental, geographic, and political schisms caused the Brotherhood to fragment. While this fragmentation at first became a dire danger to the integrity of the Black Hand, years of rebuilding, reforming, and outright conquest eventually resulted in the Five groups re-unifying under a central branch of Command. However time and distance resulted in the five branches dividing in tactics, equipment, and in a few cases even in identity as time passed.

First Army: New Roanoke Industries
Host Nation: Hurtful Thoughts
Front: Aerospace & Mercenary Industry
ROE: Limited
Style: Professional
Specialty: Combined Arms

On the surface New Roanoke Industries is a legitimate Multinational Business based out of New Roanoke Island located in Hurtful thoughts, their specialty lies in communications satellites, Air & Space Research and Development, and on a lesser known quality, in personal military training and light mercenary work. Their budgeting process is unknown and in many cases it is a wonder how such a company can turn a profit due to the lack of repeat customers and highly unusual budget boondoggles spent on unknown and mistakenly believed failed space ventures. In truth NRI is a highly organized front organization for formal and politically legal operations for the Black Hand.

Second Army: The Elite Cadre
Host Nation: Command and Conquer Universe
Front: People's Freedom Front
ROE: Pragmatic
Style: Enigmatic
Specialty: Stealth Tactics & Tunnel Warfare

When the Black Hand splintered one branch firmly remained under the iron rule of Slavik, his own personal force of elite guard. This crack force containing the largest amount of Nod Technology, maintained their position despite the chaos brought on by the crackdown and under their leader's reign they went underground, in many cases literally, to the series of bunkers, tunnels, and bases scattered across the Command and Conquer universe region. It is here they held, waiting out their enemy until the time was right to make their return. Yet even in the silence they were not idle, with the largest collected lore of the Nod Faith and the large amount of research data gathered from the various nations they had encountered over the years they grew and continued to develop their fighting techniques for the day they would return.

Third Army: Purifiers of Nod
Host Nation: Imperial nod (Defunct)
Front: None
ROE: Free
Style: Pious
Specialty: Brute Force and Flame Weaponry

When the Black Hand went into tactical Isolation mode one branch barely noticed for they had already isolated themselves for penance for their failures within the brotherhood. Their isolation made them strong, and in the tough environment to match any Red Zone they honed their skills and their faith until at last when the curtain rose they were ready to face the world once more. Upon their return Slavik noticed their fanaticism, their purity, and furthermore their aggression and decided that they would be his executioners. When no quarter is to be given, when the land is proven to be of no value, and when the only cause is the spilling of the blood of their enemies, the purifiers are called upon to deliver their judgement towards traitors and all of the enemies of the brotherhood.

Fourth Army: Kane's Wraith
Host Nation: Chitzeland
Front: Defense Force
ROE: Variable by Expendablity
Style: Traditional
Specialty: Maneuver Warfare and Air-mobile Assault

The people of the Nod held parts of Chitzeland are no strangers to battle, from the early years of their nation's history to the brutal war fought on their behalf against powers much greater than them, the people living there found themselves indebted to their liberators, in some cases literally. The Black Hand were no exception, the triumphal organization taking their own stake in the post war rebuilding of the shattered remains into their own image. Taught in the in True Nod ways they were rebuilt to be a rapid deployment force that could be called upon to be sent to any corner of their nation or even the rest of the world at the moments notice.

Fifth Army: Salvage Corps
Host Nation: Nomadic
Front: Storehold Salvage
ROE: Unscrupulous
Style: Strict
Specialty: Improvisation and Unconventional warfare

The final Army is a less an army and more a semi-autonomous and nearly tribal force of pirates, salvagers, and bandits who travel from region to region with no central port of call. While they are the most well traveled and in some cases well connected of the Black Hand factions, their lack of a stable homeland and their constant acts of raiding and looting has left them to be seen as a pack of barely contained rabble by the rest of the Black Hand. This image however is only skin deep for under the layer of unlawfulness is a strict obedience to Nod tenets and the pride that, unlike most of the other factions, they were the only faction that used the times of isolation to expand their holdings even greater than before. Their equipment is mostly obsolete equipment discarded, looted, and in some cases even outright purchased at a discount rate, and it is in spite of this technological imbalance that they still maintain a strong force even today.
