All Military Vehicles and their Armaments

Due to Rathoria breaking away form the Coalition after decades, their military was mostly composed of Coalition military vessels and equipment. Therefore, anything labeled as "Coalition model" is a design from before the war, and everything else was developed afterwards. All vessels are listed from largest to smallest within their service branches.

Naval Vessels

Carrier (Coalition model): Massive (approximately 22 km in length) vessels that command fleets and transport entire armies, carriers are seen as a symbol of the Coalition's strength. The standard carrying capacity is [17,000 skirmishers; 24,000 fighters; 20,000 interceptors; 5,000 transports; 20 corvettes; 20 frigates; 3 light cruisers]. Alternate loads of craft include [25,000 skirmishers; 40,000 fighters; 40,000 interceptors; 12,000 transports; 2 corvettes] (planetary support variant), [5,000 skirmishers; 8,000 fighters; 100,000 interceptors; 1,500 transports] (anti-ship swarm variant), and [2,000 skirmishers; 5,000 fighters; 3,500 interceptors; 1,000 transports; 8 frigates; 5 destroyers] (front-line support variant). However, carriers are not just lumbering, helpless beasts with cargo space. They are generally quite heavily armed and not a threat to be taken lightly. Each carrier has 550 point defense lasers, 61 hyper-kinetic PDTs, 10 ARES missile pods (5 chamber), and 4 LRD-7 coilguns. The multiple layers of heavy armor plating (3 meters) and powerful shields should also be taken into account. Taking a more mechanical viewpoint, carriers are powered by two Mark III antimatter reactors, although each hangar bay has a miniature Mark VII fusion reactor to deal with the craft within. The engines put this model of ship in the top 15 vessels in terms of speed with a maximum acceleration somewhere around 80 gees, although this is not felt by the passengers due to the artificial gravity system. Carriers will generally have at least one Tier III artificial intelligence onboard for ease of function and 3-6 Tier II's for handling little things. Thanks to their powerful reactors, they are able to recharge their jump drives in 45 minutes.

Battleship (Coalition model): An extremely powerful warship dedicated to smashing anything in its path. At 8 km long, battleships are able to mount hundreds of weapons and are the strongest vessels in the Coalition navy. Their one downside is that with so many weapons, there is little room for single ships. A battleship's entire fighter contingent consists of 20 skirmishers, 15 fighters, and 6 interceptors. Although powered by a Mark III and two Mark I antimatter reactors, battleships are not particularly fast, managing a maximum acceleration of 64 gees. To compensate for this, they have very thick armor and at least two Tier-III AI onboard. Their reactors focus on providing power to the weapons, shielding, and recharging their jump drives in approximately an hour.
▪Antipathy class—The traditional design for a battleship. 8 meters of honeycombed titanium battleplate armor (cavities are filled with sand), ultra-heavy shielding, 280 point defense lasers, 120 flak turrets, 70 hyper-kinetic PDTs, 24 ARES missile pods (5 chamber), 22 LRD-7 coilguns (situated in 11 double mounts for salvo fire), 8 NEMESIS missile silos, 5 torpedo tubes, 4 light railguns, 1 heavy railgun
▪Discord class—A unique type of ship specially designed for ramming enemy vessels. It gives up many of its weapons to charge its jump drive in merely five minutes. This allows it to jump into the center of enemy formations and smash through them, but wears out the drive extremely quickly. 10 meters of honeycombed titanium battleplate armor (except at the prow, where it is 16 meters of solid battleplate), heavy shielding, 100 point defense lasers (retractable), 65 flak turrets (retractable), 30 hyper-kinetic PDTs (retractable), 16 ARES missile pods (5 chamber), 10 LRD-7 coilguns (retractable and situated in 5 double mounts), 2 light railguns

Heavy Cruiser (Coalition model): Large assault/transport hybrid vessels, heavy cruisers are the most versatile ships in the Coalition Navy. On the battlefield, they often serve as command posts, but field enough weaponry to be effective line-breakers in lieu of battleships. Additionally, they can fill the role of a carrier, their 4.2 km of length being able to transport thousands of fighter craft, tens of thousands of soldiers, and even a small capital ship or two. A typical load consists of 200 skirmishers, 500 fighters, 300 interceptors, and 85 transports, but this can vary depending on the cruiser's mission. On several occasions, heavy cruisers have been deployed to scout a location, provide reinforcements, act as a show of force to a planet, obliterate a consolidation of lesser ships, defend a convoy, or even simply patrol an area during peacetime. Their Mark III antimatter reactor is supplemented by a secondary Mark IV fusion reactor for any ancillary systems, allowing for further versatility. This extra power also allows for the cruisers to sustain one Tier III artificial intelligence alongside their impressive armament. Heavy cruisers typically field 72 point defense lasers, 32 RAVUM mines, 20 flak turrets, 12 ARES missile pods (5 chamber), 10 hyper-kinetic PDTs, 3 NEMESIS missile silos, 2 LRD-7s, 1 torpedo tube, and 1 light railgun. Defensively, the cruisers are no pushover either. With heavy shielding and 1.75 meters of titanium battleplate, they can take quite a beating. Finally, the engines of heavy cruisers are capable of pushing the ships up to approximately 70 gees of acceleration, giving them the required hour-and-a-half to charge their jump drives.

Destroyer (Coalition model): Moderately large (approximately 3.48 km in length) capital ships with a large number of close-range weapons, destroyers are best suited for large fleet action, but sometimes carry out paired operations with a sister. Despite being dedicated warships they still carry a decent contingent of single ships, generally consisting of around 50 skirmishers, 200 fighters, 150 interceptors, and 20 transports. Destroyers are fairly speedy ships and easily rank in the top 10 models with a maximum acceleration around 115 gees. They are powered by a single Mark II antimatter reactor, have artificial gravity, and come equipped with a Tier II artificial intelligence for handling point defense. Most destroyers must wait 2.5 hours after each jump before their drives recharge.
▪Corion class—The basic and most common destroyer. 1 meter of titanium battleplate armor, moderate shielding, 32 RAVUM mines, 40 point defense lasers, 18 flak turrets, 8 ARES missile pods (4 chamber), 4 hyper-kinetic PDTs, and 1 LRD-7 coilgun
▪Boriton class—A missile destroyer. 1 meter of titanium battleplate armor, moderate shielding, 22 point defense lasers, 15 ARES missile pods (5 chamber and reloadable from the inside), 10 NEMESIS missile silos, and 6 flak turrets
▪Arctic class—A variant on the Boriton introduced after the development of Generation III plasma torpedoes. 1 meter of titanium battleplate, moderate shielding, 20 point defense lasers, 40 torpedo tubes, 2 NEMESIS missile silos

Light Cruiser (Coalition model): A strange take on the role of a cruiser, these are generally not sent into the front lines of combat. Rather, they tend to stay back from the battle and use their formidable electronic warfare systems to coordinate allied efforts and disrupt enemies. At 1,200 meters in length, one might think light cruisers would have plenty of space for weapons platforms. While technically correct, the majority of the energy provided by the ships' Mark II antimatter reactors is channeled to their four wing-like communications arrays. From these, they are able to broadcast and receive faster-than-light transmissions, as well as disrupt enemy systems (primarily shields, communications, and occasionally attempt to take control of computer systems). Due to their wings, light cruisers have extremely advanced sensor nets, and coupled with their Tier II AI, are extremely hard to sneak up on. Jump drive recharge times for light cruisers are on the slower end, at 3.5 hours, and their engines only provide 62 gees of acceleration.
▪Obelus class—A moderate design, balancing conventional and electronic weaponry. 50 cm of titanium battleplate, moderate shields, 16 point defense lasers, 10 heavy particle beams, 6 flak turrets, moderate hacking capabilities.
▪Vex class—A design that heavily focuses on electronic warfare. 50 cm of titanium battleplate, moderate shields, 10 point defense lasers, 4 heavy particle beams, 2 flak turrets, powerful hacking capabilities.

Frigate: (not in service)

Frigate (Coalition model):

Shade: The first model of starships to use true cloaking technology. Despite their larger hull size, shades are even less useful in frontline combat than corvettes. They are poorly defended, poorly armed, and don't even have the advantage of moving particularly quickly. That being said, shades are extremely useful at reconnaissance and covert operations thanks to their cloaks, which can hold steady up to 13 hours. Their Mark I antimatter reactor is supplemented with a Mark V fusion reactor to keep things running while cloaked, and can recharge the ship's jump drive in just under 5 hours (when uncloaked) or 10 hours (when cloaked). Their engines aren't the best, managing only 56 gees of acceleration in the best of circumstances, and only 48 while cloaked. Shades have a pitiful defense rating, relying on their stealth, with 6 cm of titanium battleplate and light shielding when uncloaked. Their weapons register as 4 heavy particle beams, 1 ion beam, and 1 torpedo tube.

Corvette (Coalition model): Small (350 meters in length), lightly armored, and without any heavy-hitting weaponry, corvettes lack much presence in the naval battlefield. Recognizing this, High Command mostly uses corvettes for planet-side support operations and ferrying VIPs across space. Certain corvettes are also available for hire by the public for protection against pirates. Most of these ships have a large troop bay buried at their heart, capable of carrying up to 2,200 fully equipped soldiers along with a variety of army vehicles. Unlike larger heavy cruisers or carriers, corvettes can descend into and operate within a planet's atmosphere, meaning they can deliver their troops directly to a base camp without needing to rely on dropships. Their single Mark I antimatter reactor takes around 5 hours to recharge their jump drives, though it is able to coax a shocking 103 gees of acceleration from the engines. Corvettes are typically outfitted with 16 light coilguns, 8 heavy particle beams, 2 flak turrets, and 1 ARES missile pod (2 chamber). Defensively, a typical corvette sports 10 cm of titanium battleplate and light shielding.

Transport/Dropship: A differing variety of vehicles designed with the primary purpose of ferrying humans and/or land vehicles from one place to another.
▪Shiver class—The smallest of transport shuttles, usually employed for VIPs. Up to 5 unarmored passengers and 1 pilot. Cannot survive atmospheric transition. Is unarmed.
▪Shrieker class—An armored up Shiver shuttle capable of moving from the surface up to low orbit. Up to 6 unarmored passengers and 1 pilot. Is unarmed.
▪Flametail class—The standard rapid assault vessel for getting soldiers to and from a battlefield. Up to 19 fully-equipped soldiers and 2 crew. Has a dedicated slot for 1 light vehicle. 1 cm of titanium battleplate atop 6 cm of tungsten-steel armor, light shields, 1 plasma boltcaster.
▪Jackhammer class—A true dropship, meant for crashing as many troops into the front lines as possible, one time. Rarely used but very fast. Up to 64 fully-equipped soldiers and 1 pilot. 9 cm of tungsten-steel armor. Is unarmed.
▪Stinger class—A specialized troop transport for boarding spacecraft/stations that are unwilling or incapable of allowing standard vessels to dock. Has a ram on one end surrounded with photon cannons. Up to 28 fully-equipped soldiers and 1 pilot. Cannot survive atmospheric transition. 4 cm of titanium battleplate atop 2 cm of tungsten-steel armor, light shields, 2 light coilguns.
▪Kräftig class—A heavier, more capacious version of the Flametale, designed for delivering reinforcements to FOBs and landing vehicles. Up to 47 fully-equipped soldiers and 4 crew. Has dedicated slots for 1 heavy and 2 light vehicles. 1 cm of titanium battleplate atop 6 cm of tungsten-steel armor, light shields, 2 plasma boltcasters, 1 light coilgun.
▪Kräftig/B class—Exactly the same as the Kräftig but with cargo space instead of vehicle bays.
▪Blessing class—A large non-combative transport for moving personnel and supplies from point-to-point. Up to 90 unarmored passengers and 6 crew. Dedicated storage and cargo space. 3 cm of tungsten-steel armor. Is unarmed.
▪Skybox class—The largest of transport vessels, a colossal rectangle covered in thrusters. Up to 360 fully-equipped soldiers and 20 crew. Dedicated cargo space, 8 heavy vehicle berths, 20 light vehicle berths. Can carry an M-13. Contains a medical sector. 1 cm of titanium battleplate atop 6 cm tungsten-steel armor, 6 light coilguns.

Interceptor: Large assault craft with crews of 4-7 and a variety of different systems. Generally used for battering capital ships into submission, assaulting orbital defense platforms, or performing precision strikes on ground targets.
▪Skywolf class—On the smaller end, designed for maneuverability and atmospheric action as well as space combat. 1 cm of titanium battleplate atop 4 cm of tungstun-steel armor, heavy shields, 4 ARES missiles, 2 HADES-III rocket pods, 4 light coilguns, 1 coilgun
▪Stormwolf class—A large spacecraft with the express purpose of swarming and wearing down capital ships. 5 cm of titanium battleplate atop 2 cm of tungsten-steel armor, heavy shields, 10 ARES missiles, 4 HADES-III rocket pods, 2 coilguns, 1 heavy particle beam
▪Bloodfox class—An experimental interceptor armed solely with energy weapons. 4 cm of titanium battleplate atop 2 cm of tungsten-steel armor, heavy shields, 6 plasma cannons, 2 light particle beams, 1 linear energy repeater

Fighter: Mid-sized craft with powerful thrusters and many weapons, fighters are used for atmospheric combat, assaulting small ships/space stations, defense against interceptors, and clearing out point defense lasers. All variations have shielding, but can still be quickly shot down by capital ships. Crewed by a two person pilot-ops team.
▪Angelfire class—moderate armor (painted white with gold and blue lines) and shields, 4 alternating photon cannons, 3 light coilguns, 1 light particle beam
▪Dragonfire class—heavy armor (painted black with dark grey and dark red splotches) and moderate shields, 2 light coilguns, 4 HADES-II rocket pods, 2 ARES missiles
▪Hellfire class—moderate armor (painted light grey with fierce red and yellow lines) and heavy shields, 2 HADES-III rocket pods, 2 plasma boltcasters

Skirmisher: Small, swift, and lightly armed, skirmishers are scout craft often deployed as picket and fore scouts for warships. Their advanced sensor arrays and small size make them perfect for reconnaissance. Skirmishers are also the only Naval military asset utilized by civilian law enforcement. All variations of skirmishers lack shielding. Crewed by a single pilot.
▪Sparrow class (civilian use)—light armor, 2 heavy stun beams, 1 rotating high-powered projectile sniper turret, operated independently from the pilot
▪Kestrel class—heavier armor than other variants, 2 photon cannons, 2 light coilguns
▪Falcon class—much faster/more agile than other variants, 2 photon cannons

Army Vehicles

Bombers: Large aircraft used to drop heavy ordinance and devastate large areas of land with little effort.
▪X-1270 "Shadow of Death"—So named because once its shadow passes there is no time left to run. Flies at high altitudes and high speeds. Traditionally carries a load of 50 ARES warheads with precision targeting packages, but that can be substituted for 500 HADES-II warheads.
▪X-852 "Cropduster"—Similar in design to the X-1270, but smaller and lower altitude. Designed for heavy CAS runs. Utilizes 12 avalanche light mortars (configured to fire downward) and can hold up to 1000 shredder bombs or 384 plasma cubes.
▪X-1600—A high altitude, heavily stealthed bombardment platform. Doesn't have much in the way of armor or movement capabilities, and relies on active camouflage to drift into position. Carries up to 8 HADES-III rocket pods and 6 ARES missiles.

Heavy Tanks: While far less commonly used than light tanks, as the Rathorian army relies mostly on blitzkrieg tactics, these beasts are covered in layers of armor and could likely take out naval corvettes in a handful of shots.
▪Tüzérségi—An armored behemoth with enough firepower to level entire hillsides. Uses 10 repulsion plates and can hover up to 60 cm above any solid surface. 42 cm tungsten-steel plating, moderate shields, 1 coilgun, 2 heavy laser cannons, 1 twin scythe autocannon, 1 HADES-III rocket pod, 4 light coilguns
▪M-58 "Raining Joy"—Utilized in artillery barrages, these get their nickname from the pretty viewpoint operators have when watching their salvos impact. Uses 8 repulsion plates and can hover up to 60 cm above any solid surface. 34 cm tungsten-steel plating, 3 cascade heavy mortars, 6 avalanche light mortars, 1 light coilgun
▪M-234 "Volta"—With its unconventional primary armament, the M-234 doesn't have many applications that can't be done by other units. Uses 6 treads. 34 cm tungsten-steel plating, light shields, 1 ESD, 3 light coilguns

Armored Personnel Carriers: Protected ground vehicles to ferry troops and supplies around the battlefield.
▪L-5 "Strider"—Fairly swift transports for securing a forward position or delivering rapid reinforcements. Holds up to 12 fully-equipped soldiers plus 2 crew. 17 cm tungsten-steel plating and light shielding, but can deploy two temporary walls to either side to protect disembarking squads. 1 light coilgun for defense and 1 avalanche light mortar for support.
▪M-13 "Juggernaut"—Massive wheeled FOBs, able to weather just about anything short of orbital bombardment. Holds up to 81 fully-equipped soldiers plus 4 crew and 8 command staff, along with a small variety of light vehicles. 40 cm tungsten-steel armor with a thin layer of titanium battleplate on top and light shielding. 8 light coilguns and a single SRV missile for defense, 3 avalanche light mortars for support.

Aerial Personnel Carriers:
▪Heron—Capable of transporting both personnel and light vehicles to their deployments. Holds up to 30 fully-equipped soldiers plus 3 crew, or a maximum of 3 light vehicles (can mix and match). Moderate armor and light shielding with omnidirectional thrusters but primary forward movement. 1 plasma boltcaster and 1 HADES-II rocket pod for defense.
▪V-22 "Leapfrog"—A lightly armored transport vehicle for jumping troops rapidly between hotspots. Holds up to 16 fully-equipped soldiers plus crew. Light armor and shielding with omnidirectional movement capabilities. 1 plasma boltcaster for defense.
▪Lammergeier—Designed primarily for hauling large vehicles and cargo, but is occasionally used for evacuations or large-scale troop drops. Holds up to 221 metric tons of cargo, but the safety limit is generally placed at 215 tons. Vehicle displacement can fit a maximum of 7 light vehicles or 2 heavy vehicles (can mix and match). Personnel capacity is 53 fully-equipped soldiers and 3 crew.

Light Tanks: The backbone of Rathorian ground operations, light tanks are swift, lightly armored assault platforms. What they lack in durability, they easily make up for in maneuverable firepower.
▪Wolverine—Powerful front-line masters of chaos and destruction. Uses 3 sets of treads with configurable orientation. 22 cm tungsten-steel plating, 1 heavy laser cannon, 2 light coilguns, spiked skirts on all sides
▪Pókfarkas—Literally "spiderwolf" in English, these scurry about the battlefield spitting a constant stream of death. Uses 6 repulsion plates and can hover up to 80 cm above any solid surface. 15 cm tungsten-steel plating, light shields, 2 twin scythe autocannons
▪L-12 "Stalker"—The scout-sniper of tank warfare, this machine never shoots from the same location twice. Uses 3 sets of treads with configurable orientation. 15 cm tungsten-steel plating, 1 plasma accelerator, 1 light coilgun
▪Rhino—As close to a medium tank as the Rathorian army has, the Rhino is the perfect combination of power and speed needed in a linebreaker. Uses 4 sets of treads. 28 cm tungsten-steel plating, light shields, 1 twin scythe autocannon, 2 light coilguns, 1 plasma boltcaster, 2 photon cannons, spiked skirts on all sides

Aerial Assault Craft: While weaker than naval fighters, aerial assault craft are better adapted to taking out infantry and ground vehicles and have superior atmospheric maneuverability.
▪Thunderstorm—Used both for strafing runs and clearing enemy fighters. Has omnidirectional movement capabilities. Moderate armor and shields, 4 HADES-III rocket pods, 2 light coilguns, 1 photon cannon
▪V-17 "Hummingbird"—A lightly armed dual-person craft for close fire support. Has omnidirectional movement capabilities. Light armor and shields, 2 plasma boltcasters, 2 light coilguns, 1 HADES-II rocket pod

Armored Ground Vehicles: Miscellaneous support and assault vehicles that do not engage in front-line combat.
▪Catamount—These sit behind Rathorian lines and launch missiles into enemy territory. Light armor, 1 ARES missile pod (1 chamber), 2 HADES-II rocket pods, 2 HADES-III rocket pods
▪Avenger—Thanked by many soldiers for protecting them from airstrike, this is tasked with shooting down everything from missiles to aircraft. Light armor, 1 light particle beam, 6 light coilguns, 4 SRV missiles
▪E-621 "Asylum"—A mobile field hospital with top-quality treatment systems and space for three dozen patients. Unmarked, but has a distinctive design.
▪Array—Used as a communications hub, electronic warfare station, and sensory/area mapping unit.
▪E-926 "Umbrella"—Capable of projecting a small shield dome 25 meters in radius around itself. The shield is comparable in strength to light warship shielding, but cannot be maintained indefinitely. Duration depends on atmospheric conditions and how much stress it's under.

Lightly Armored Ground Vehicles: In short, single-person fast transportation vehicles. Rarely used, but they exist.
▪S-215 "Lawnmower"—The quintessential hoverbike (now with cargo space!). Uses 2 miniature repulsion plates and can hover up to 34 cm over any solid surface. No armor, a pair of spikes at the front.
▪S-74 "Deathtrap"—Armed quad bike. You know the type. Passenger seat in back for fools who like whiplash. Has 4 wheels. Very light armor, 1 photon cannon.

Drones: Unmanned aerial vehicles used for reconnaissance and patrols, drones aren't much used in combat. That being said, they are extremely small and fast, making tough targets unless someone can get a target lock on them. However, they lack shields and have almost no armor, so once locked it's over for the poor craft. Drones are typically outfitted with a Tier I artificial intelligence and operate within given parameters, but can be taken over by a remote pilot for fine handling.
▪Sentry class—no armor ("flying engine with a gun"), 1 heavy stun beam, 1 light particle beam
▪Sentinel class—very light armor, 2 light particle beams
▪Sortie class—light-to-moderate armor, 1 HADES-III rocket pod, 1 light particle beam
