Political ideology: Third way
President: David Wong since 2016
Headquartered in Yaren
This is Mohea's oldest political party

History: Initionally founded as a Conservative Party, the Conservative Democratic Party is Mohea's oldest, still existing political party. Founded in 1932 by Naoero missionary Steven Holland, its party members, mostly consisting of white Christian missionaries, helped develop Naoero in the 1930s, Througout the first half of the 20th Century, it was simply a christian, conservative political party for Naoeruans. It slowly declinded in the 60's as the Carolinian based Vacuum Cleaner Party grew to be the more popular Conservative Party in Mohea, and its influence spread to Naoero. Therefore, in 1962, libertarians took over the party. Siao Dageao became the party's president, and he helped lead the transformation. The party spread slowly, seeing officials in small island's local governements become elected under the Conservative Democratic Party. The party had one Naoeruan politican, Jeremiah Thaman, elected to congress in 1989. He representated Naoero for 2 terms until 1993. After 1993, the Conservative Democratic Party would no longer see an elected official in a federal lesgialtive body of Mohean government. Mike Harris took over as party president in 2003, and he along with other Naoeran transplants helped establish the party as a Mohean third way party. The party would spread to Carolina and Gilbert, and occasionally local officials from this party are elected. The Conservative Democrats never won a seat in Parliament and are the only Mohean political party to have not gained a seat in Parliament since Mohea became a Kingdom in 2019. This party was banned on June 7, 2022 by King Daniel I on accusations of treason within the party. These accusations have gone unproven.

It's name led to much confusion for voters at in the 70's and this led to politicians wishing to run for office having to register with the Independent Party if they wanted to run as a non-partisan. This helped the party gain momentum. It was seen as a third way party until around 2013, when then Carolina Governor Paula Brunelle, a Liberal Democrat, switched to the Independent Party for her re-election campaign. That year she was re-elected to a 3rd term. She was a very popular figure in Carolinian politics, and therefore she became a figure-head for the party. In 2018, when Paula Brunelle decided to not tun for a 4th term as Governor, she became the Party's President and switched its official ideology to social democracy, aligning with her own political standing. Anthony Kabua formally renamed the party the Social Democratic Party on May 3, 2022. This party was banned on June 7, 2022 by King Daniel I on accusations of treason within the party. These accusations have gone unproven. The party dissolved on July 4, 2022 after being banned.
