Kenega City

The capital and largest city. It's a very large, bustling city by most standards. One visiting tourist likened it to being Bangkok, Las Vegas, and Amsterdam combined. KC, as its also called, is very active and lively at all hours. Tourists have disappeared, never to be heard from again, and local law enforcement has been less than helpful in most instances unless extreme political pressure is applied.

Large crime syndicates are active there to run many of the underground rackets. They have a big hand in the casinos and also take advantage of Kenega's very loose banking laws. Kenegan banking establishments are notoriously easy to launder or hide monetary assets in. Kenegan organized crime has been tracked in many neighboring Wishtonian and Teremaran nations.

Hundreds of legitimate businesses have an office there, both national and international from across Wishtonia and Teremara.

All kinds of resorts surround Kenega City within spitting distance. Tourists like to go into the city and act out their hedonistic pleasures, then come back to the safety of the resorts. Casinos, legal drug dens, night clubs, and brothels are located in several city districts. Even an amusement park for the kids.

Kenega RFC is the major sports team. Rugby is the most popular sport in Kenega, as in most of Wishtonia.

Kenega also maintains its own intelligence service, the KIS, independent of the services of Vionna-Frankenlisch. The Kenegan Intelligence Service was quite active during the Hutanjian War in aggressively maintaining the Commonwealth's neutrality. While official stance is that the infamous Hutanjian war criminal, Milton Atave, is dead after his attempt to disrupt the Kenega Peace Accords, rumors continue to surface that he is held in the sub-levels of KIS HQ in the capital.

The Commonwealth government maintains a strong presence in the City, with gendarme district station houses all over the city. The Royal Gendarmerie and Royal Coast Guard Headquarters are also located in the capital, with the port of KC being a major Coast Guard station. There is a good sized Vionna-Frankenlischian Army garrison located at Ewickford Barracks in the city, and the Royal Gendarmerie Air Force maintains a strong presence at Kenega City International Airport.

Marousha

The town of Marousha lies just west along the coast from the gargantuan Kenega City, and is considered a major suburb of the capital. The layered significance of Marousha cannot be understated. It was the birthplace of Doctor, and now President, Charles Nellis the leader of The Cardwith Islands. It is also the origin of the current director of PASD, (People's Action Strike Directorate) of the Cardwiths, Lelah, who adopted the town's name as her pseudonym surname.

Lelah's family and the Nellis family have an, as yet unexplained, complicated relationship going back to the early days before they departed the town to immigrate to the Cardwiths in the late 1960's, when Hutanjia (which included the Cardwiths until 2014) was going through a small economic boom while Kenega was experiencing a rare, recessive slump. Lelah, her sisters, brothers, and her mother emigrated to the Cardwiths later in the 1970's, soon after her birth, while her father had then moved back to Kenega to chase down an opportunity as work dried up around Hutanjia. Nellis became a father figure to her, in her real father's absence, who died mysteriously in Kenega City before he could return to his family.

Finally, but not less significantly, somewhere in the low dunes surrounding the deceptively quiet town is rumored to be the burial spot of Milton 'The Mongoose' Atave's (Former head of the Kingdom of Hutanjian Security) trove of communication logs, audio files, videos, photos and documents that purport to reveal the conspiratorial Kenegan involvement in the Cardwithian Independence movement and the Hutanjian coup that deposed the monarchy during the Great Hutanjian War (2012-2015).

Much of the tragic political upheaval of southern Wishtonia seems to intersect at this little town off the beaten path from the Kenegan capital.

Today, Marousha is not a popular destination for tourists, but it boasts a high population of lower class Kenegans who work in, and commute to the big City. Parts of Marousha are beginning to be developed for the expanding middle class who want to work in, but not live in the hectic big city.

Terlenga

A good sized port with a small sized city. A lot of the nation's fishing industry is based there. The largest urban area on the Eastern coast. Terlenga is where San Rosito claims an early trading port of theirs was located, long before Anglo and Gaulic colonizers arrived. The fact is that merchants of Espicuta, the colonizers of San Rosito, ran the trading port, but that has not seemed to disrupt the San Rositan narration.

Ourapeka

A small frontier town surrounded by the Northern Wilderness Preserves. There is a decent sized coast guard station there and also the HQ for the Royal Park Ranger Service. Not particularly big by Kenegan urban standards, but the only bastion of civilization for hundreds of kilometers in any direction. Safaris launch from there into the wild. Tourist resorts have thrived there recently that are geared towards the green, eco-conscious tourists who want to experience all that nature has to offer untarnished by civilization.

With the prevalence of Crocodiles, poisonous snakes, spiders and insects in the Northern preserves, it is always recommended that visitors book official tours with Park Ranger chaperones. The Commonwealth government and its agencies hold no responsibility for harm or death to foreigners due to these dangerous species. (Sometimes they fall victim to the local smuggler gangs, but that's still usually written off to the local fauna.)

Faronham

Home of the large joint forces base that Vionna-Frankenlischian and Kenegan sea, air, and land force personnel all call home.
Faronham town itself is not that big or busy in comparison to Kenega City or Terlenga, but can get a bit unruly with the amount of off duty military personnel that frequent the hospitality district there. Faronham still pales in comparison to the Kenega City night life, the big draw on the Island, but it's adequate for V-F and Kenegan personnel who don't want to travel that far for a short R&R or risk being AWOL from base.

Wexborough

Like Quelton, and Heathsdale, Wexborough is a small town, but holds big money like most of the southern coast Kenegan communities, but for Marousha. Lots of the upper echelons of the local Commonwealthers own property in Wexborough, or a neighboring town. Plenty of foreign money has bought up the real estate, too. The second Presarius Plaza hotel in Kenega, outside of Kenega City, lies in Wexborough. The Faronham Royal Coast Guard Station includes the SW peninsula in their zone of patrol and protection and the Imperials maintain a small garrison there.
