Arsenal

The following is a list of weapons and automated infantry commonly employed by the Ismite Army.

The Mars Rifle
The Mars Rifle is the standard infantry weapon of Ismite forces. It comes in several models, the MRBM-9.5x40mm, MRLRM-14.5x114mm, MRCCM-7.62x51 and the MRSOM-5x23mm and the MRSM 7.62x51mm.
The MRBM, or Mars Rifle Battle Model, is an all-round burst-fire automatic rifle with a moderately powerful scope and an effective range of 1,000 meters. It is the most common variant of the Mars Rifle, and is highly effective in a wide range of environments. It fires three rounds per burst, and has a 2X magnification scope.

The MRLRM, or Mars Rifle Long Range Model, is a sniper rifle based on the standard edition. It is semi-automatic, with armor-piercing rounds It has an effective range of 2,000 meters and a magnifying scope with up to 10X magnification and offers infrared and night-vision modes. Like many similar weapons it is poor in close quarter combat.

The MRCCM, or Mars Rifle Close Combat Model is a high powered light machine gun. It has an effective range of about 300 meters, however it becomes ineffective very quickly at more distant targets. Its high powered mechanism can tear through body armor easily and the weapon is highly lethal. It is usually used for infiltrating enemy held structures and other areas where close combat is to be expected. It has no scope and is heavy, but the trade offs are generally accepted to be worth it.

The MRSOM, or Mars Rifle Special Operations Model, is very different from the standard model, and is in fact a rifle-barreled sub-machine gun with a built in silencer. It is a powerful weapon, and the rounds are able to pierce body armor. It has an effective range of 650 meters, and is designed for close to mid range combat. It is the signature rifle of The Inquisition, its silencer being ideal for special operations while still packing a hefty punch. The rifle is also fairly light, allowing for Inquisitors to be well armed but still swift on their feet.

The MRSM, or Mars Rifle STAG Model, is an assault rifle designed for use by Ismite soldiers using Standard Combat Armor. It was designed based on reverse-engineering the Bougheyian STAG HAR, and as such it shares many similarities with classic Bougheyian assault rifle. However it is a distinct weapon, though it uses the same ammunition, as it is significantly larger, and has an LED magazine indicator. It has an 750 round magazine, and an effective range of 600 meters. The weapon cannot be properly used by a human not wearing powered combat armor due to its size and weight.

The Ares Pistol
The Ares Pistol is the name of the preferred sidearm of the Ismite military. It like its rifle counterpart is a weapon with several variations, but all are highly effective and precise firearms. The Ares Rifle has three models, the APSM- 9 mm slug, APMM- 10 mm slug and the APHM- 17 mm slug.
The APSM, or Ares Pistol Standard Model, is an all around effective sidearm. It is the most common model, being found throughout the armed forces fulfilling a plethora of roles. The pistol is powerful and does have notable stopping power. It is highly highly precise. The Standard Model is semi-automatic. The APSM has an effective range of 100 meters.

The APMM, or Ares Pistol Machine Model, is a fully automatic machine pistol. It is a weapon generally used when facing superior numbers or a disorganized foe, as it is quite capable of tearing through most body armor with ease in close quarters. With an impressive rate of fire of 700 rounds per minute and an effective range of 75 meters, the Machine Model is a potent weapon, if somewhat imprecise at a distance.

The APHM, or Ares Pistol Heavy Model is an awesome weapon. It is among the most powerful pistols in the world, at close ranges it can tear through bone with ease and can pop a person's head like a water balloon. The pistol has as an effective range of 250 meters. The weapon is very heavy, and the recoil from the blast is tremendous. For this reason it is usable only by Inquisitors, whose augmentation allows them to wield these hand cannons effectively. In the hands of a seasoned Inquisitor, an Ares Pistol Heavy Model is an accurate and powerful weapon.

Perdition Grenade Launcher
The Perdition Grenade Launcher is designed to fire perdition grenades, grenades filled with hydrogen gas. The grenades explode upon impact, and due to the power of the weapon and the lightweight of hydrogen the grenades can actually increase in elevation over short distances. Due to the lightweight of hydrogen and power of the weapon, the flames sometimes move largely forward, even if the concussive force spreads out spherically. Also, if hit with a grenade within 10 meters of the shooter it can be lethal from force alone, crushing bone and sending ribs into the lungs. The Perdition Grenade Launcher is an anti-personnel weapon, designed to kill infantry and damage light transports. However, it is ineffective against tanks and similar vehicles. Still, if properly targeted a well placed shot can blast the treads off of a tank, immobilizing it. However the difficulty of the shot is so great that it has only been accomplished three times, only one of which was on a moving target. The velocity of the grenade fired out of the Maw is about 300 meters a second, and within 5 seconds of flight this has decreased by 150 meters per second to 150 meters per second. After 25 seconds it simply coasts along due too the hydrogen being lighter than air, very slowly falling to the ground. The record for longest shot is 5 kilometers.

Hellfire Rocket Launcher
The Hellfire Rocket Launcher is a powerful and state of the art rocket launcher which fires target-locked Hellfire missiles. The missiles are filled with chlorine-triflouride and on impact cause massive explosions and long lasting, self sustaining flames. The missiles are fired from a rotating barrel, allowing for two shots almost simultaneously from one unit, though for the target locking function necessary to hit aircraft this is obviously impossible. The target locking takes about 3 seconds, though for a solid lock 5 seconds is recommended. Recoil requires standard infantry to wield it over their shoulder.

Plasma-Shot
The plasma-shot is one of the most advanced weapons in the Ismite arsenal. It serves the same purpose as a shotgun, with a range of about 75 meters, at which point the bolts of plasma completely dissipate. The weapon releases a single bolt of plasma, but this seperates into multiple bolts over time, with 4 at 10 meters and 8 after 15 meters. There is a firing mode that prevents splitting, however, though this is used generally against slow, large targets, and other weapons are superiro against such targets. The bolts carry some kinetic energy, though this would likely only stagger most foes, in conjunction with the extreme heat, which is the source of real damage, most hit will fall over if not outright die, depending on where they are hit. The weapon is instantly lethal if a single bolt hits anywhere above the gut, save for the the arms, as the bolt's heat will destroy the heart in this instance. Any limb hit will requite amputation, or infection and necrosis will prove be lethal. The weapon is highly effective, as it incapacitates most targets, if it does not outright kill them.

Marauder Drone
The Marauder Drone is a large autonomous drone with advanced decision making capabilities. Field tests have shown that despite its intimidating appearance and pure combat role, the Marauder is able to discern between combatants and civilians practically 100% percent of the time. It is also able to pursue targets using logical thought processes nearly identical to those in humans. 8 times out of 10 the Marauder has matched the average Ismite in problem solving and deductive reasoning skills, as well as being bound by a strict ethics program. All of this allowed the Conclave to allow these to be used en masse in future wars, and already 50 million units have been produced, with another 100 million expected to be completed shortly. They are equipped with Punisher Explosives Launchers, which allow the Marauders to launch multiple explosive weapons. Most units are equipped with many perdition and punctum grenades as well as short-bolt and Hellfire missiles. There are however ideas of using Marauders equipped with tear gas grenades to be used in occupied cities for policing purposes. The Marauder can run at speeds of 35 miles per hour, and stand at 2.5 meters tall and are 1.5 meters wide. They are composed of a solid neosteel chassis, with superconductive wiring allowing for nearly zero resistance in conductivity. The solid neosteel allows them to receive massive punishment without malfunctioning. They also have small shield generators, however these shields are used only to ward off harmful environmental effects such as radiation, EMP, extreme temperature and storm conditions. The Marauders also have the ability to speak, though it is done in a mechanical and intimidating tone, and most can speak in the major languages of the RN. The most fascinating thing however is that the oldest prototypes developed unexplained quirks, shortly before increasing in most logical functions and making conversation with each other and technicians. It is believed that the same will happen worth the current models, and that they may in fact develop complete personalities. It has gotten many of the projects researchers and computer programmers across Ism and beyond very excited.
