The Unified Democratic States of Inven, commonly called Inven, is a nation comprising 8 states and a federal district. With an area of ____ and a population of thirty millions, Inven is considered a medium-sized nation. The capital is Creativ, and the most populous city is Naris.

The land that was now Inven was eight colonies of Totaur after the arrival of Totaurian explorers in 1778. In 1859, a rebellion broke out in all 8 colonies. Although the rebellion was suppressed, however, King __ of Totaur decided to unified the 8 colonies into a single autonomous dominion. The March Revolution in 1931 in Totaur started a civil war that lasted 8 years, which the communist faction won and installed an authoritarian communist dictatorship regime. The Dominion of Inven was dissolved during this civil war after the 1937 crisis. In the aftermath of the civil war, the communist government of Totaur sought to restore her foreign possession which included Inven. The battleship Noyalzhsky opened fire on the coastal forts of Naris, starting the 5-year long First Invenian War which was followed by a civil war. Inven was at peace until 1961 when a communist insurgency began in the northern regions.

Inven is a federal republic and a representative democracy. Currently, it is a member of the Reichsburg Free Trade Agreement, the largest free trade agreement in the world. Inven is a highly developed country, with a frightening economy. Inven's economy is largely based on technological advancement, characterized by the dominance of services and knowledge-based activities.

Inven continues to ranks very high in measures of socioeconomic performance, including average wage, median income (both before and after taxes and transfers), human development, per capita GDP, and worker productivity. Inven is a leading political, cultural, and scientific force internationally.

History

After the second half of the 20th century, Inven enjoyed a period of prosperity. In 1931, a civil war broke off between the monarchic government and the communist of Totaur. During the civil war, the Dominion of Inven was dissolved during the 1937 crisis because of unpopularity between the Parliament and the state governments. In 1939, the communists won. The communist government of Totaur sent an ultimatum demanding the surrender of the 8 states or facing an invasion in September 17, 1941. Representatives of the eight states met at the Naris Conference and agreed to form the Unified Invenian Army and temporarily united the eight states into a loosely connected federation. On December 1, following a naval and an air raid, Totaur troop landed on Naris and Ulcaster. The defeat of the Totaurian Army at the Siege of Fortis and the subsequent battle of Creativ allowed Inven to negotiate a favorable ceasefire at the Naris Conference. During the conflict, the Invenian Revolutionary Front led a guerilla war in the northern part of the country while the UIA fought against the PTA directly. The war forced an uneasy alliance between the UIA and the IRF. In the aftermath of the war, the increassing distrust between the two factions resulted in a civil war. Major combat ends in 1949 with the UIA regain controls of all northern terriories. The twin wars would become the deadliest military conflicts in Invenian history, resulting in the deaths of approximately 280,000 soldiers as well as many civilians.

Interwar Period
After the wars, Inven went through a reconstruction period. The constitution was ratified by all eight states in 1950. The federal government was reorganized into three branches, on the principle of creating salutary checks and balances, in 1951. Johnson Stewart, who had led the revolutionary army to victory, was the first president elected under the new constitution. The UIA was demobilized and reorganized into the modern IAF.
