The Kingdom of Holma is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by King Lilian with an iron fist, and notable for its infamous sell-swords, triple-decker prams, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 796 million Holmen are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Spirituality, although Defense, Law & Order, and Administration are also considered important, while Social Policy and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Angel's Wait. The average income tax rate is 67.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Holman economy, worth 44.1 trillion Drumms a year, is quite specialized and mostly made up of the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining and Basket Weaving. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 55,452 Drumms, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Political activists are routinely executed, children are often punished for the sins of the fathers, King Lilian is refusing to make decisions until the Moon is out of Capricorn, and the Holman Arts Council pays teenagers to sit through opera performances. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Holma's national animal is the Crow, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Holma is ranked 102,328th in the world and 1,151st in 10000 Islands for Largest Basket Weaving Sector, scoring 1,585.36 on the Hickory Productivity Index.
