The Coldian Marines

Formation
The Coldian Marines were formed in the late 1900s during the war against Bigtopia. They were used to invade Bigtopia through the big river that connected Coldian. It ended with major success and Coldian won the war and annexed a majority of Bigtopia’s land on the Continent.
Statistics and Information
There are around 1,500,000 personnel in the Marines 1,00,000 active and around 500,000 in reserve.
The Marines are one of the only troops active mainly on Coldian mainland. Although training is rough, it rewards marines with experience and higher positions.
Effectiveness
The marines are highly effective for naval invasions and protecting the beaches. They’re also used to provide security to different navy vessels such as the CAC Flying Spear.
They were also used as elites in the war against the nation of Coletomn in 2018. The marines were able to push back Coletomn at the battle of Mayfield (A city in Coletomn)
Equipment
Every soldier is equipped with a 9mm pistol, a backpack full of supplies, and a combat knife.

Marine Armored Units
Due to a recent policy, a small group of the most elite marines was given magnesium alloy lightweight suits that can handle gunfire and small explosives. The armored Marines are also equipped with a grenade launcher and an LMG. The Marines are used as frontline units to take over heavy fortifications and help guide troops through enemy fire.
