The Bad Years

After the death of Chairman Antonin, Chairman Bulgavok seized power inside the Party. Initially have supported Chairman Antonin's positions, once in power Bulgavok became more radical in his policies. He pushed policies of forced collectivisation of agriculture, rapid industrialisation, mass movements under the political leadership and ideological indoctrination of the educational and service sectors.

Chairman Bulgavok also launched the "Capitalist Deportation Act" against supposed "counter-revolutionary" elements within the Communist Party and broader society. Anybody considered to have "bourgeious skills" was executed or deported to forced labour camps. This led to a significant decline in industrial production and agricultural production, as a major skills shortage resulted and mass campaigns wasted valuable work time.

Several million people died during this period, and the economy went into a tailspin. Order was finally restored from the chaos when the PRA realised things had gone too far. Chairman Bulgavok was deposed and killed by PRA units and replaced with the more moderate Chairman Cekris. He had ruled for just three years.

International relations broke down almost entirely for Cedoria during this period, and it's international isolation was a major concern due to it's still underdeveloped economy.
