The Federal Republic of Alsaxonia is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons, absence of drug laws, and suspicion of poets. The compassionate population of 590 million Alsaxonians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 28.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Alsaxonian economy, worth 26.7 trillion pounds a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Automobile Manufacturing. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 45,253 pounds, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The government keeps its thumb on the scales of justice, evenings at university debating societies often end with everyone acknowledging both sides may well be right, corporate lawyers are joyfully combing through the new tax code for any new loopholes for their clients, and Alsaxonia has designated Alsaxonia City as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Alsaxonia's national animal is the Wyvern, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Alsaxonia is ranked 167,315th in the world and 11th in ACS Puppetbin for Most Developed, scoring 50.95 on the Human Development Index.
